Avatar f tn I did have lots of neurological testing also, as I lost my memory for a few days, and what brought me in was a loss of consciesioiusness, ( sp) and I woke up shaking all over, most likely God restarting my heart, and it fibrulating!( that is my guess) thanks for any and all questions.
3072999 tn?1356414732 Hi Tink, I am actually a medical coder for a hospital -the ICD-10 code would be G93.5. The ICD-9 code is 384.4. Since ICD-9 is not very specific they may have put a I after to show it is a Chiari Malformation type 1. In ICD-10 it is more specific - G93.5 states Chiari Malformation 1. So I am assuming since the ICD-9 code of 384.4 just states compression of brain they had to add a 1 so it was more specific for their notes.
Avatar f tn Well I now know what the memory loss is from....I'm so stoooopid. I'm 9 days off of vicodin, thought all was amazing, but stupid me had 7 ativan and decided to take one or two on wed thurs and fri..I've been taking ativan on an as needed basis since my miscarriage on july 4th...I can honestly say I've never taken more than three a day and it's not something I love or crave ever. This miscarriage threw me for a loop and the anxiety was for real.
Avatar f tn I am going to do a preliminary exploration of the changing incidence of hepatitis B, and C and liver cirrhosis across several years of data in US. I wonder if you agree with me that ICD-9 codes 070.2 , 0703, 07042,07052 for Hep B and 070.41, 070.44,07051,070 54 for hepatitis C are the only ones that purely specify these infections. At this stage, the estimations are not going to be done. Also, I need to say that I have yet to see the literature on this.

All neuro image testing has been normal (CT scan, PET scan) All blood work has been normal. He now presents like an Alzheimers patient with sexual inappropriateness but neurologist said he has the symptoms of an Alzheimers/dementia patient without having the actual disease.

Avatar m tn re in an alcohol/substance related group - memory loss can be associated with drinking. It can be associated with many other things, too - from different medications, mental or cognitive health conditions, and even sometimes stress. I think it is very important that you speak to a doctor who can survey your health & lifestyle profile to work with what is known - and other factors that may not be known.
