Like Alzheimer's it comes and goes. The headaches and pain in my head are 24 - 7 in only gets bad once in awhile, if you have moderate pain you get use to it, at least I do I used to race motorcycles. Now if I can work on the white matter thing then it will all make sense.

I have been emotionally abused and was in a bad controlling relationship 4 years ago. Avatar n tn There are a couple of practical things emergency staff do when assessing the degree of head trauma a person has had following concussion - one is called GSC scale - where they ask a series of questions that reveal how orientated you are - goes up to 15. &/15 is severe, above 13 is mild and the middle scores are moderate. The causes for this loss of memory could be many like lack of sleep, hurried up routine, psychogenic memory loss after a stressful and life threatening event, vitamin B1 deficiency, certain drug abuse like PCP, LSD and cocaine. Some prescription drugs can also be the culprit like barbiturates, tricyclic anti depressants etc. brain infections like encephalitis and head trauma are other rare causes.

I do not have diabeties but everybody in my family from mother to brothers have had diabeties. But I do not have it at this point. I have been diagnotics with Anexity and alittle hypertension becasue of the war. But I think I function perfectly well. Only the head problems and the forgetfulness.

Avatar n tn In 2007 he had a hip replacement done and ended up having 3 operations within one week because of complications. My question is could the buildup of medications etc cause him to now have memory loss, language skills loss and tremors in his right hand. He walked in to the hospital on crutches and now is dependent on a wheelchair.
