Common Questions and Answers about Memory loss exhaustion

memory

Avatar n tn It sounds to me like simple heat exhaustion, which temporary memory loss can be a part of that. The way to prevent it from happening again is to ask your daughter to drink extra water, like every time she is in the bathroom, to drink a glass of water. Also, she should be put on a quality multivitamin and mineral supplement, which if a person gets dehydrated, they'll also tend to lose their electrolyte balance. And no more hot showers!
Avatar n tn My husband had an stroke 6 years ago in his thalamus which caused him to be confused, short term memory loss, some long term memory loss, etc. The good news is that he regained almost all of his functioning, but some small short term memory issues. 3 weeks ago he worked in the yard in 100 degree temps for several hours. The next day he woke up with the same symptoms as the stroke 6 years ago and we assumed he had another stroke.

Avatar f tn I also have experienced RAPID memory loss.. to the point where I can barely remember three days ago or things I need to do. My doctor said memory loss is not a symptom nor related to Chiari but I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be and half no other explanation. I am only 21 and can’t think of another reason for all of this. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn I have all the other syptoms including freezing in a house that is 80 degrees and short memory loss and lack of motivation. My doctor switched me off natural thyroid which I was doing very well on to synthroid.about a year ago. He was suppose to check my levels in 6 months but they just renewed my prescriptions last december without any blood work. I am thinking of going to a specialist and quit seeing this doctor for my thyroid. I am also very concerned about my T3 being that low.
Avatar f tn I used to encounter memory fog as well as fatigue after treatment with peg-riv.For memory fog i began taking blueberry leaf extract, acai berry and N-A-C a powerful antioxidant. When the body begins to accumulate to much toxins it begins affecting the brain which caused memory fog. For fatigue I take ginsana ( ginseng ).These supplements seem to help me with these symptoms. The only thing im having trouble with is liver inflammation.

Avatar m tn re in an alcohol/substance related group - memory loss can be associated with drinking. It can be associated with many other things, too - from different medications, mental or cognitive health conditions, and even sometimes stress. I think it is very important that you speak to a doctor who can survey your health & lifestyle profile to work with what is known - and other factors that may not be known.

It only lasts for 5 to 15 seconds then I am back to normal and I remember what I was doing and where I am. I am able to function during these episodes . It seems to happen when I am relaxed as apposed to when I am concentrating on something. Any idea as to what is happening ?
