About an hour later he suffered a brief episode (1-2 min) of short term memory loss. He could not remember the weekend holiday or do sums. Other than feeling cold he did not exhibit any physical symptoms. He had another episode about three weeks later. A neurologist examined him and found nothing but set up an EEG. He has had no other episodes. Any suggestions as to what to ask during/after the EEG or what the potential cause might be? Thank you.
I am advised to do some exercise but my parents don’t allow me to go to a gym. I can’t upset them as they are very ill.
Kindly suggest what to do? My thyroid is normal and I have no other major disease so far (apart from joint pain and sleeping disorder).

re in an alcohol/substance related group - memory loss can be associated with drinking. It can be associated with many other things, too - from different medications, mental or cognitive health conditions, and even sometimes stress. I think it is very important that you speak to a doctor who can survey your health & lifestyle profile to work with what is known - and other factors that may not be known.
in all these memory losses, she lost most of her memory but remembered few persons which were important to her. her last memory loss was occured on 28th august, 2009 due to another surgery meant for cleaning out the tumour from her whole body. this time she dun remember ANYTHING except one person. is there any chance of recovery of her memory? also i wanted to know that if she lost her memory, is it gone forever or can she be able to remember any part of it after another memory loss?
It also takes a while for the body to adjust to the medications; they have to change the medications to wean a person off of the ventilator, from what I understand.
My Dad got confused and agitated in ICU after his heart surgery (triple bypass, aneurysm repair, and aortic valve replacement--all in one surgery.) He was trying to pull out his tubes and climb out of bed, take off his gown, etc. He knew who we/his daughters were, but did not know where he was or why he was in the hospital.

My question really is about memory loss. I am only 24 years and I feel like I am too young to be experiencing this kind of memory loss; I don't know what you want to call it but I just think maybe it's getting worse?
I always had a little hard time remembering things but recently I think it has reached a level now where it is impacting me and my surrondings. Less than a week ago, I lost my iphone, (or so I thought) when going at the post office.
I am a 33 year old mother of three and my memory is getting worse. I used to attribute it to being so busy but it's become more short term as I get older. I'm forgetting words when I have conversations with people, names of streets that I've always known before. I'll walk in a room specifically for an item and once in the room, I forget why I was there.
I am a healthy 34 yr old male and I have been experiencing migraines over the last 4 months. The last 2 times I also experienced Memory Loss and slurred speach. I am unable to remember peoples names or common work terms for 20-30 minutes. My family has a history of migraines and my brother has had strokes in his late 20's. I recently stopped drinking and lost over 30 lbs. The migraines started after this. Would this change anything in my body to bring them on?
However, more importantly, since your memory loss may or may not be related to the Celexa, it could be that your memory loss is due to something else.
Plz let your Doc know about your memory loss before thinking about quitting Celexa cold turkey.

Many, if not most, suffer from some amount of brain fade during treatment. Sometimes it's the inability to find an elusive simple word in conversation. For others, it losing things around the house only to find it in a very strage place. Sometimes it the absence of short-term memory. With evidence to the contray displayed in some posts you read, the mental sharpness should return when the drugs departure.
Dr, char limit disallowed some details, but firstly I wanted to state I concur this would perhaps be better suited to the neurology section, but I have reviewed both your and his forums, and in all honestly you give much more complete answers in my opinion.
The outbreaks I received were indeed herpetic, with the telltale tingle, and responded to 2000mg Valtrex, also leaving various scars on my lips.
