Some prescription drugs can also be the culprit like barbiturates, tricyclic anti depressants etc. brain infections like encephalitis and head trauma are other rare causes.
Avatar n tn I would like to add that many young adults in school get tired from so much studying and this can cause a lapse in memory. I can recall falling asleep during an exam! The best thing you can do to prevent your symptoms is to spend some time away from the books and go out and exercise, which will relieve stress and help you sleep better. You will more than double your memory power by doing this, so do not worry about "wasting time" by regularly being physically active.
