Okay thanks for the info! I was mainly concerned about an immediate accidental overdose. As for the long term effects I've been taking up to 12 ibuprofen a day for over a week now so even without the Meloxicam I'm risking negative effects.

Of course, if I had the money, I would have called the vet, who would have told me to bring my dog in and then run expensive tests and then told me what I already knew and then prescribed a vet formulation of flexeril that is identical to human.

ve been taking Meloxicam 15 mg for about a month. Worked pretty good the first couple of weeks has helped with muscle pain but not so much with joint pain.. Also I am taking Tramadol 50 mg for pain daily, for about 4 months now and it is not working as good as when I first started using it.. My eyes feel dry and slightly burning and my ears feel like they are underwater with a buzzing noise when I lay down sometimes. Anyone else get this feeling with Tramadol?

Meloxicam is considered a strong Motrin, but this meloxicam knocked me out for 24 hours. My husband was soon prescribed it and he also hated it. You cannot drive or read, just sleep. Meloxicam is a pain killer, very strong, and doctors are acting like it is just motrin. It is not. It puts you in a coma.

I went to the doctor for some issues that I had been having and decided to reach out to my doctor for help getting off these bad boys. He perscribed Meloxicam to help with some the withdrawal symptons. I have to say this stuff, which is just an anit inflammatory will helps with the symptons. It eleminates the hot, flush feeling which is most annoying. It really does help. Just wondering if it's all in my head or has anyone actually heard of this? Thanks.

s also used for this purpose......It can be taken 2-4 times a day for pain....Overdose is rare in people, but I don't know about puppies.....You didn't say how old a puppy she is....... The reason she cannot walk is that she is "loaded"! Don't force her to stand....And don't put her up on a couch or anything elevated.....(She can fall & break a limb). It is processed through the Liver, so flushing the Kidneys would not help..... Watch her breathing!!!
