That went away for a while, but then started happening again now every night from about 10-1-13 to now 10-11-13. I get a slight fever at night (100-101) and sweat bad all night long. Bad enough to where the sheets are wet. I usually lose about 3 - 3 1/2 lbs.

I take Tramadol, Zoloft, Flexeril, Restoril, high blood pressure meds, a statin for cholesterol, and meloxicam. I couldn't tolerate Lyrica or Neurontin, both made me very ill. My Rhuemy feels that the trauma from having had 3 major knee surgeries in exactly 7 months brought my fibro to fruitation. My grown children and my husband all understand that this disease is unseen but will take total control if I allowed it to do so.
I have been prescribed hydrocodone for approx. 7 years. I had my left knee replaced in 2009 and had to have it revised in 2011 and to this day I am still in pain. My doctor increased my prescription from 90 per month to 120 per month. I'm now receiving 180 per month along with 90 cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) per month. I also receive 30 meloxicam per month for swelling and pain. Even with all these meds I'm still in pain. My knees, my hips, and my back.
She also feared an addiction and asked me to wean myself off of the tramadol and gave me a prescription for meloxicam instead. I am now down to less than a quarter tramadol a day. I can manage the pain reasonably with meloxicam and Tylenol. But it still hurts more than I would like. Now that my history has been described, here is the real issue of this post. Ever since my surgery I have had some sexual dysfunction. I used to love sex. I would think about it a lot.

I found the BEST help with the pain was taking down the immflamation and not so much trying to take away the pain itself. Ask your doc for meloxicam ( aka Mobic ) . It is a potent anti immflamatory and does not have the "yucky" side effects of hydrocodone or percacet etc.. I found the most relief came from taking meloxicam consistently. At day 5 I saw a surgeon , by day 8 the pain came down substantially and by day 12 it was gone.
Since that time, she has placed me on meloxicam and hydrocodone. I take one 7.5 mg. of meloxicam a day and six 7.5/500 mg of hydrocodone a day. My questions is...my regular doctor is not sure he believes in Fibro and treats me as if I'm just a complainer and using too much medication. All I know is this is the first time I've felt human in three years. Should I change my regular physician? Is this too much medication to take? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!
Upper legs (perhaps hips?) extremely sore and almost go out from under me when I try to stand up and walk after sitting in a chair/sofa/bed etc. Seems to be getting worse. Not tied to injury that I can think of or exercise although I've tried to increase walking to see if it improves the condition. It hasn't. Pain still hurts when walking but not as severe as when I first get up. What is this? Used to run marathons, ski, cycle - its been a life changing problem and I'd like to find a cure.

I also receive 30 meloxicam per month for swelling and pain. Even with all these meds I'm still in pain. My knees, my hips, and my back. Some days I can't bend over to tie my shoes and if I bend over, I can't stand back up straight. I have gone back and forth to my VA doctors, but still no relief. I am so very tired of being in pain. I have been diagnosed with depression, I suffer from PTSD. I am a 54 year old veteran that is fed up with this system.
hydrocodone won't get rid of the pain; I had that prescribed to me when I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and with TN it does nothing but make me pass out. Try some Tremidol (has to be prescribed) or Oxycodone. The burning sensation will not go away, but any other pain associated with it might be dissolved.
I was maxed out on my dosage of hydrocodone and my doctor wanted to start me on a much stronger, longer acting opiate. I decided to quit and get a true assessment of my pain level. you are on a fairly low dose right now. I was taking about 3 times what you are taking. If you are even considering trying to get off of them, now is the time to do it. The higher you go, the more brutal the detox is. Please stick close to this site.

I finally dozed off after my tests and I woke up with discharge papers beside me, nurse told me to get dressed and later told me I had a kidney infection, gave me cipro and oxycodone and sent me on my way - on the way out I threw up and they also gave me phenergan. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took the meds, when it didnt get better I realized I should see my doctor. They examined me and said I had inflammation of my hip joint, thats what was causing my pain.

I have noticed crazy things happening. Like muscle twitches that last for a few seconds. All ofthe sudden I will be cold. Really cold. Everyone else is fine. But my fingers are turning white and I have got to get a coat and wrap up. I keep gloves with me all the time.

Welcome Tram Warriors! Part 60. Wow. Over the years of recovery and reading about others, seeing others recover the main thing I have learned is that everyone's life is better without being a slave to Tramadol. you might be stuck and scared right now, but you can make the decision to get yourself off the hamster wheel of Tramadol dependency and even addiction. you don't have to live that way. There's lots of people here to help.
This is the place to be if you are trying to recover from Tramadol ... Please make yourself at home!
Right now I am taking 3 5-325 soma, 8 5-325 hydrocodone, and was just recently prescribed generic neurontin at 300mg a day because the Vicodin just isn't working anymore with tolerance. I am a divorced dad of a wonderful 5 year old daughter and my ex is also on me about taking the meds as I did when we were married. I know I am addicted/dependent on the Vicodin for the pain in my back and have had times where I've suffered through withdrawals because I've run out way too early.

Mobic "seemed" to give more relief in quelling some of the mind invading searring burning in arms, legs, back of skull and face .... along with redness and swelling as inflammation grows ....especially once vertical and walking or typing like this. Do you know anything about the long term risks of daily bd 7.5mg meloxicam ...
