I am taking provera 10mg to stop my month long menstrual bleeding which started in feb 2010.. My last period before this was in sep 09 and the bleeding was scanty ( this was also the 1st period after I delivered a baby in april 09).. My question is why is my bleeding not stopping completely on provera although its been 2 weeks i started taking them and the bleeding is moderate during the dayt and light during the night, I am soaking 2 to 3 pads per day ..

I went to see my gynocologist monday because I had spotting and bleeding since July 28th and ended up in urgent care that previous friday. Me and my fiance have been ttc for 3+ years now. I was prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg for 10 days. I started taking this medicine on the first of March and had a regular cycle on the 19. I didn't take the medicine in April due to me being on antibiotics. I didn't have a period in April and haven't had one so far in May. I'm usually regular with my cycles being off a few days. I've never missed a whole month except for my pregnancy with my daughter.
I used Provera, too, for about 3 months until I started going through IUI. My uterine lining was dangerously and also way to too thick since i was not shedding my lining. I was not ov at all. After taking the provera, my lining got back to the correct thickness to support a pg. The second IUI worked.

Okay my doctor give me medroxyprogesterone 10mg. So I told my doctor it was a iregular she gave me that to take for 10 days, one pill a day. I took all the pills and then I start testing for ovulation. 2 days it was testing I tested positive for ovulation I started bleeding and looks like I'm on my menstrual cycle but I don't know what it means can anybody help me.
I have been on provera for 7 days (10mg twice) and its been 8 days since the last pill. I have absolutely no signs of getting a period. About three or four days into taking it my bleeding stopped, the next day it started back up. It then stopped again on April 7th or 8th.
Now, it is May 10th and I have not had a period yet.
