I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago after years and years of uncomfortable symptoms(I am 31) and missed periods. I was a late starter (18) and I have averaged 3 cycles a year. Sometimes missing periods for a whole year. As of October of 2016 I have been getting a period every month! Awesome right!? I think I am the only person I know that wishes and crosses their fingers hoping to start their period. Anyways I have two questions at the moment I guess.

I was diagnosed with PCOS a little over a year ago. I tried Glucophage but that didn't work. It's been just over a year since my last period so my doctor prescribed Provera to start my period then Clomid. I took the Provera as prescribed for 10 days. It's been 6 days since I stopped and still no period. All of the information I've read says it should take 3-7 days so I haven't called my doctor yet. Has anyone else had this experience.

September I was advice to take medroxyprogesterone injection to normalize my hormones and after few day I bot Provera pills can I take them while I am on this injection or please advice me ?

I am 20 years old and have not had a period for almost a year. I have seen a doctor about this and have been tested for many things including thyroid disorders, pituitary problems genetic tests and hormone imbalances. I have somewhat low estrogen (29) for my age and somewhat high FSH (18). I do not have any other issues than these either. I don't know if this will definitely lead me to early menopause and other health problems or if not having a period really isn't that big of a deal.
Your doctor probably ordered the ultrasound to make sure that your ovaries are normal in size and that they are not poly cystic. PCOS poly cystic ovarian syndrome is one possibility that causes women to miss their periods and infertility. PCOS has a lot of possible symptoms but some women experience more than others. Another possibility is high prolactin levels...that was probably tested during your blood work though.

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I missed my period for two months, then was bleeding for 6 weeks. I am not sure what to do as the only symptom of PCOS I had was through my ultra sound. My menstrual cycle is pretty regular, lasts about 5 days, first day is light, next few days are normal and then it lightens up and is gone by the 5th day. I don't have heavy bleeding a tampon works fine. I am not overweight all of my blood work is perfect.
I to have bleed for 25+ days, and my doc would give me Medroxyprogesterone for 3 wks to stop the bleeding. Do you have an underline problem? Like PCOS? Have they checked for cysts? Bloodwork to check hormones? Periods for some can take a couple of years in order to get regulated, while some just go right into coming like clockwork. I would see the docs and let them know that you are concern and if they maybe can put you on birthcontrol to start getting it regulated....

Hello, I just was given a 10 day cycle of medroxyprogesterone and it has been several days since I finished taking it and I have yet to bleed! Has anyone else had this happen? I am very queezy and feel like I am going to throw up but don't actually, ever since I stopped taking the medicine. Again, no bleeding at all has occurred. I am getting worried on why that is. Anybody know what to do?
I am on Medroxyprogesterone. & i had un protected sex then i took a plan B pill & i am not 2days late with my perios.
