It's been Six days since my last medroxyprogesterone (provera) pill and I'm waitinf for AF to show and nothing! So of course her I go with the worrying. I have PCOS so the chances of me being pregnant right now without the Clomid Metformin and Medroxyprogesterone is slim to none as I haven't had a cycle since July of Last year.
OMG! Your situation sounds identical to mine! The only difference is that I'm yet to be diagnosed with PCOS and am presently waiting for the results of blood tests. Am certain that I've got it now that I've read your post; I didn't start my periods until I was gone 17 and was irregular (having maybe 6 periods a year or being very irregular) until just under 2 years ago.
i have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for 3 yrs now, never been on birth control and have yet to come up pregnant. At first i thought i just had an irregular period but now im scared that i will not be able to conceive. Since the age of 18, doctors have told me that my period will regulate itself...im 22 and its still irregular. Now it seems as if i cant get pregnant, i think i was mis-diagnosed.
I have to take it for first time tonight! Scared of side effects! Just found out I have pcos n I'm havin hard time understandin it! I have been dealin with a lot of stress an now this!!!

I am taking Medroxyprogesterone also. I took it for 10 days and 3-4 days later spotting occured, then 2 days after AF arrived. The way I took it was before I went to bed. I've heard it has some bad effects, which was the case the first round.
I did see my doctor during the first round of taking (for other reasons) and casually said that "yesterday was the last day" and she had mentioned that AF would come within 10 days.
since I started menstruating I had a problem cause it only come 3 time a year but as I am writing I just got it once this year . September I was advice to take medroxyprogesterone injection to normalize my hormones and after few day I bot Provera pills can I take them while I am on this injection or please advice me ?

My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to start trying for a baby. I have pcos and I dont get my period unless I am on some type of medication. My doctor started me in medroxyprogesterone to induce my period then clomid for ovulation today is my last day on it. Just wondering how many women actually get pregnant from this and how long it took. Im pretty new to all this so any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated!
I am 20 years old and have not had a period for almost a year. I have seen a doctor about this and have been tested for many things including thyroid disorders, pituitary problems genetic tests and hormone imbalances. I have somewhat low estrogen (29) for my age and somewhat high FSH (18). I do not have any other issues than these either. I don't know if this will definitely lead me to early menopause and other health problems or if not having a period really isn't that big of a deal.
Did your doctor prescribe you anything to induce a period? I actually have to take Provera (medroxyprogesterone is another name for it) every month to induce a period or I won't get mine.

More information is that I was on birth control for about 8 years and have been taking medroxyprogesterone for about a year now. I take 2 pills per day for the first 15 days of every month.
I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I missed my period for two months, then was bleeding for 6 weeks. I am not sure what to do as the only symptom of PCOS I had was through my ultra sound. My menstrual cycle is pretty regular, lasts about 5 days, first day is light, next few days are normal and then it lightens up and is gone by the 5th day. I don't have heavy bleeding a tampon works fine. I am not overweight all of my blood work is perfect.
I haven't had period since Sept 28 so my Dr put me on medroxyprogesterone 10 days 10mg, but my period came down on day 4. should i continue to finish medroxyprogesterone so should i take metformin???
Do you have an underline problem? Like PCOS? Have they checked for cysts? Bloodwork to check hormones? Periods for some can take a couple of years in order to get regulated, while some just go right into coming like clockwork. I would see the docs and let them know that you are concern and if they maybe can put you on birthcontrol to start getting it regulated....or see if you have another underline problem that is causing your periods to not come. Hey i have a problem. I did not have a period for 2 months. I did not have sex either. I just fingered myself and I am not sure whether my fingers were clean that time. I went to the ob gyn and she prescribed me with this tablet medroxyprogesterone acetate she said it will help me menstruate and she will be expecting me to menstruate after a week but I'ts been a week since I've been taking these tablets and still no menstruation. Am i pregnant?
Thanks for this, its sooo helpful and intriguing to hear other peoples stories in the same situation. Sometimes you feel so alone with this and don't know where to turn or what to make of it all. I have been having regular reflexology sessions to help and she says there's lots of energy coming from ovaries so i'm thinking they just need a kick up the bum LOL Oh to be a woman! Me and my fiance have been ttc for 3+ years now. I was prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg for 10 days. I started taking this medicine on the first of March and had a regular cycle on the 19. I didn't take the medicine in April due to me being on antibiotics. I didn't have a period in April and haven't had one so far in May. I'm usually regular with my cycles being off a few days. I have not had a weight problem before I found out I had PCOS. I have been working on my eatting and excercise habits for the past few years.
