medroxyprogesterone and fertility

More information is that I was on birth control for about 8 years and have been taking medroxyprogesterone for about a year now. I take 2 pills per day for the first 15 days of every month.

after that i didnt get periods and not pregnant also since four months, my doctor suggested me Medroxyprogesterone. i took it for 5days still i dont get periods and not pregnant also. anybody please help me.

I had blood work done and I am not full menopause - so my DR, put me on Medroxyprogesterone for 10 days to start it up. Is it true that these drugs can make you more fertile after all is on track? I've posted before as I would love to get pregnant. When I thought I was full menopause I was sad to say the least. I hear so many stories of people that get surprised during pre-menopause when they think they are safe and then get pregnant - I should be so lucky! Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi im 22 yrs old and started my period when i was 16. My period has never been regular. Since i started my period, it has only come 3 to 4 times a year. i have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for 3 yrs now, never been on birth control and have yet to come up pregnant. At first i thought i just had an irregular period but now im scared that i will not be able to conceive. Since the age of 18, doctors have told me that my period will regulate itself...im 22 and its still irregular.

clomid and metformin are both a fertility drug, and esentially do the same thing. they both make your body produce more eggs, which is why they say when you take fertility drugs, there is always a higher chance of multiple babies.

Hi, My doctor put me on medroxyprogesterone to give me my period (I hadn't had one for over a year). It took a full week after taking the last pill to get it. I started Clomid on cd 5-9 and started testing using ovulation predictors on cd 10. I'm now on cd 15 and still no LH surge. Could I be getting a false negative? Thanks!

t ovulate. Recently went to a infertility specialist and he is putting me on medroxyprogesterone followed by clomid and femara. That is supposed to jump start the ovaries. Did the vaginal ultrasound that diagnosed me with PCOS, had an MI for my pituitary gland , and a lovey HSG test for the uterus and tubes had a mucous plug but that is about it for now. I haven't had period since Sept 28 so my Dr put me on medroxyprogesterone 10 days 10mg, but my period came down on day 4. should i continue to finish medroxyprogesterone so should i take metformin???

i dont ovulating soo find dr who can help me and she told me to get (HSG) done soo i did that and the dr who did it say that my ovaries are open and i told my dr that everything look good soo she give me clomiphene 50mg and medroxyprogesterone 10mg and been taking them for 3 months nothing happed i do have period but not ovulating soo my dr is give me 100mg clomiphene aug 10 2012...

I finished taking a 10 day supply of medroxyprogesterone 9 days ago and still no period. Should I be concerned? Can I still get pregnant this cycle using iui? Or should I wait for one more cycle after this?

Hello All, It's been Six days since my last medroxyprogesterone (provera) pill and I'm waitinf for AF to show and nothing! So of course her I go with the worrying. I have PCOS so the chances of me being pregnant right now without the Clomid Metformin and Medroxyprogesterone is slim to none as I haven't had a cycle since July of Last year.

Hi I'm 27 years ago and I have a 7 year old daughter. Me and my fiance have been ttc for 3+ years now. I was prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg for 10 days. I started taking this medicine on the first of March and had a regular cycle on the 19. I didn't take the medicine in April due to me being on antibiotics. I didn't have a period in April and haven't had one so far in May. I'm usually regular with my cycles being off a few days.

i didnt have a period for years and i took that same stuff to get it and then stuff to stop it since it wouldnt stop by itself i have been like this for years i have not heard that could cause cancer there are lots of women that are irregular i have had many visits to the doc and have had many clean pap results. I now am 36 with two healthy kids and no period yet again..

Hello, I just was given a 10 day cycle of medroxyprogesterone and it has been several days since I finished taking it and I have yet to bleed! Has anyone else had this happen? I am very queezy and feel like I am going to throw up but don't actually, ever since I stopped taking the medicine. Again, no bleeding at all has occurred. I am getting worried on why that is. Anybody know what to do?

I have never taken any hormones, but just this week my GYN prescrivbed Medroxyprogesterone 2.5 mgs to help keep something "down there" (uterus, endometrium???) from thickening. Hi ladies, I just wanted to add to this thread here, my practicioner had also perscribed me to take medroxyprogesterone for 10 days to help regulate my cycle, and amongst it doing its job I am also a 34b and have also noticed breast tenderness and swelling with it but i am assuming it was to be expected after my practicioner explained the effects of the drug to me.

I was on the depo shot for only a year a little over five years ago. When my cycle wouldn't come back after I got off my doctors kept telling me at first that your body just takes a while to get back to normal after you have been on the depo....after a year they decided to give me provera (medroxyprogesterone) to induce a cycle. It worked to induce one horrible cycle but then disappeared again.

I am really trying to see if my sister's condition has anything to do with her being given this shot. Last time she was given it was April 2013, she is currently in the hospital fighting for her life!! So with all the warnings about if you have a liver disease you shouldn't be taking this shot and the doctors are advising her liver isn't functioning and for it to be as far gone as it is, if she had come to hospital a year ago they wouldn't have been able to do anything!!

He put me on medroxyprogesterone for 5 days and right after that i got my period. it lasted for 5 days and stopped and then all of a sudden started again and hasent stopped since. I don't know what is going on! I'm affraid of going thru that again!
