Avatar f tn * Foods. Asparagus may give urine a greenish tinge as well as a characteristic odor. * Medications. A number of medications produce blue urine, including amitriptyline, indomethacin (Indocin), cimetidine (Tagamet), the anti-nausea drug Phenergan and several multivitamins. A dye used in several medications that treat urinary pain (Urised, others) can turn urine blue. * Medical conditions.
1512008 tn?1290210749 The stool can become green on taking food rich in green leafy vegetables. If this is not the cause, then the stool is passing out of the large intestine at a very rapid rate so the bile does not break down. This can happen if you have malabsoroption syndromes. Another reason is a diet rich in sugars. Take lactobacillus preparation for a day or two and see if the color improves. If the green stool persists do discuss this with your doctor and get your stool examined. Take care!
Avatar f tn I have noticed that, as odd, as it sounds (I have searched high and low and am not satisfied w/ the findings) that my urine is green in color. I wear pantyliners because of the slight incontinence, so any of the overflow is green. It is not from a change in diet or dyes as suggested elsewhere. I have tried a few different liners to see if it was a chemical reaction due to high acidity.
Avatar f tn Is it light green? Or dark green? Super light green just means your drinking lots of water, drink more and it will be clear.
Avatar n tn About a month ago I noticed nitrates were testing positive on the strips (Only +first morning urine), I had no symptoms of a UTI and I did nothing. Then a few days ago my urine appeared green and was testing for blood, leukocytes, protein (I always have this), and still the nitrates(Now positive at any time of day tested). I then began having urgency issues as well as right side flank pain. I went to the Dr. and she said my urine was a mess.
Avatar n tn what medications would cause a urine drug screen to test + for morphine? My son takes oxycodone and tylox would they?
Avatar f tn The type of organisms causing the infection are identified with a microscope or by chemical tests. If urine tests are positive, medications may be tested for sensitivity or resistance to particular medications or antibiotics. Your negative result indicates no infection present. It would also be best to discuss your test result with your attending physician. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn Hello, 3 weeks ago i experienced burning urination and white and green discharges i did a urine test and the results were: WBC/HPF level 15-20 so i went to a doctor and he prescribed doxycycline 100mg and prolifloxacin 600 mg for 5 days i finished my medications then the symptoms returned so i went to a pharmacist after almost 3 days and he said that the treatment should be taken for at least 10 days and so i started taking the medicines again and im on my 8th day of treatment.
Avatar n tn A urinary tract infection, bile problems and certain drugs can cause the urine to turn greenish. A brighter green color is an indication of an excess of B vitamins. I think better see the doctor for safe side.
Avatar m tn I'm a 20 year old girl - Ever since I had unprotected sex about 2months ago, I was first of all having yellow discharge, tested for chlamydia and gonnorhea - came back positive for chlamydia, neg for gonnorhea. I was put on doxycycline 100mg twice a day for 10 days... The discharge continued after 2 weeks, so I took 1000mg of azithromycin... Now it's been 2 weeks since then, and I'm now having green discharge (like snot), the doctor can't find out whats wrong..

243059 tn?1202377352 Has anyone out there heard of anyone that does not do well on any thyroid medications? I feel like I am one of these unlucky people. Even though the medication is doing what it is supposed to do as far as bring my Tsh into the " normal " range I still feel amazingly horrible. My whole body is sore and my stomach and intestines feel like they aren't working properly and now I am going to get a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
11020738 tn?1414617945 Sorrrryy probably TMI. But I'm 26 weeks today, I stopped getting morning sickness on a regular basis about a month ago and only throw up randomly now. Which I'm convinced has to do with my kidneys (I thought I had a stone that wasn't passing) I went to the urgent care and they wouldn't check or do an ultrasound or anything to check for stones because it was "unsafe" so instead they just gave me hydro's for the pain (wtf, is that safer?!
Avatar n tn If it was a one time thing it probably isn't anything but I don't know for sure. I would got to the eye care forum and ask the doctors there. They are opthamologists.
Avatar m tn 1. no visible stone-like structure seen in your kidney, ureter and urinary bladder. 2. The round-shape structure in left side of your pelvis is a calcium deposit in the vein. 3. Nothing out of the ordinary presented along the bony structures I hope that helps. Sounds like you have a bit of calcification in your vein which located in your pelvis. I'm not sure if the vein is related to your kidney or any other part of your urinary system or not.
Avatar n tn I've had green stools twice this week. Stools are solid - not loose and I've had not change in diet or medications. In fact I'm not on any medications. I feel fine. I had a colon resection a few years ago due to a cancerous polyp so naturally I'm 'freaking out' about this. The only thing I can think of is I did eat birthday cake at a party last weekend (nearly a week ago) and it had a lot of blue frosting on it. Would that still be in my system? Should I be worried.
Avatar m tn Don't worry about the silly test. If it's a urine test the medications will show up in your urine, especially the methadone. It has a very long half life. Please reconsider the way you are taking your medication and be honest with your self and the doctors. You will be much better off in the short and long run. good luck.
