Avatar f tn I used to work at a hospital and they never allowed housekeepers or nurses that were pregnant to be assigned to those rooms for safety purposes.
163305 tn?1333668571 The hospital said in a statement that it implemented the mandate to promote patient safety based on recommendations from the American Medical Association, the American Nurses Association, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It announced the mandate in September. Of the hospital's 26,000 employees statewide, 95 percent complied. That means 1,300 employees did not comply, but only eight were fired.
Avatar f tn By the way, a friend of mine is a teacher. She had started a new medication for her mental health issues and unfortunately, had a psychotic break at school. She walked herself to the office knowing she needed to be away from her classroom. She'd called her husband to meet her who came immediately. They talked the principal and she left and her husband drove her to the emergency room. She took the next day off of work and they were getting her meds corrected.
Avatar f tn My question is will it harm me in any way for staying on it? I dont want to cause any more problems for myself by staying on it but evidently I lack serotonin and the paxil replaces it. Any info that you might give me would be greatly appreciated.
402205 tn?1230481005 I have a question for the nurses. I jammed my pinky finger somehow on Saturday. Its really swollen and hurts around the knuckle. Should I just tape it to the ring finger and let it heal? It feels a little better that way. I just don't feel like going to the doctor?
Avatar f tn You may be confused about your numbers. BP 115/30???? Normal is 120/80 so 120/70 would be very good. This also makes me wonder if your pulse rate is lower than you claim.
583182 tn?1218138465 Am trying to conceive and was just prescribed a 6 day prednisone pack for herniated disc. Wondering if it's safe to continue trying or should we wait until in done with the medication. And if I should wait, how long until it's out of my system?
649848 tn?1534633700 I've just received a notice that Acella is doing a voluntary recall of certain lots of 30 mg, 60 mg and 90 mg NP Thyroid tablets. These lots may contain up to 115% more T3 (Liothyronine) than they're labeled to have. Taking more Liothyronine (T3) than prescribed can result in over medication. If you take any of these dosages, please contact your pharmacy and/or doctor to make sure you don't have tablets from the lots in question.

628735 tn?1273875777 m are talking about so just says what ever to try and make me feel better rather than saying she will discus it with my OB or NP and get back to me. I would rather wait a little longer for her to get back to me so I can feel better a person that knows more about my question can tell her what to to say to me!!!!!!!!

Strattera (do not use this, there is a warning on the label for suicidal thoughts) 6. focalin 7. Dexedrine Their may be other but these are the most popular ones used.

Avatar f tn I had my induction scheduled for this morning. My doctor called and said they don't have enough nurses to cover it! What!!! They new I was coming, it's been scheduled for 3 days, they should have had a few more nurses on to cover inductions. It's just ridiculous. Hoping they'll still be able to get me in sometime today. Fingers crossed ladies!
Avatar f tn I know it is a category C drug but I know people who take phenergan and that is a category C drug as well.
Avatar n tn I don't understand the mention of bloodwork. You can't diagnose mental illness through bloodwork, as science hasn't figured out what causes it. That would be looking for a disease state but not mental illness. But here's where I'm very confused. You say she's on Zoloft and wellbutrin, which means she has a doctor or psychiatrist treating her for mental illness. That's the person who should be consulted about confinement.
Avatar n tn I havent ate in 24 hours, i have been 4 cm for a whole week so far. The night shift nurses are letting me eat though i am starving too! Like crazy.
Avatar f tn t intentionally testing anything or doing anything to harm your precious new baby , yes you will run into crabby nurses who are there for a paycheck but most love there jobs and hAve a passion for bringing these helpless tiny loveable miracles into the world. I'm going on baby #3 and I'm very strong on rooming in and no nursery and when they do the 24 he test me or my spouse are present not because of not trusting what they do but it's in our birth plan not to leave our babys side !
649848 tn?1534633700 https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/acella-pharmaceuticals-llc-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-two-lots-np-thyroidr-thyroid-tablets Please note this is not the same recall that I posted a few weeks ago involving NatureThroid and WP Thyroid. If you have questions, contact your doctor or pharmacy.
94902 tn?1330479667 For me, with severe anxiety, the benefit of the SSRI outweighed any risk. Not all anxiety meds have the same safety profile - for example you should definitely avoid Xanax during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor, because even among the SSRIs some are safer during pregnancy than others.
