mavik thumbnails

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I couldnt really find a specific place to post. I've had quite large "pitting" and horizontal ridges in both of my thumbnails for quite a few years now. No pain, swelling, or any other issues, just the cosmetic appearance that bothers me. I'm a healthy person with no underlying medical issues that I am aware of and blood pressure is normal (I read that blood pressure issues could cause this).

Is there any medcation as mentioned above can cause this as side effect? Any other suggestion? Please reply.

What does it mean or what can my husband do...his thumbnails have a ridge in center of nail and then it breaks at the end. It's a v in the center of nail. He keeps them short but it still breaks.

I am an eighteen year old female, and have been wondering for some time whether or not I am at slight risk for a heart condition. My fingernails are mounded/crested, especially my thumbnails, and I've been told this is often a symptom for heart disease (however, I also chewed my nails quite a bit as a child, so this might have added to it). I am also frequently cold, particularly in my extremities (hands and feet), and wonder if I have poor circulation.

They made my thumbnails feel like they were going to blow off. As a result my thumnails had the same bumps. The bumps appear to be on the outter most layers of the skin and nails. I've been tested for fungal infections and that came up negative. One dermatologist suggested psoriasis but others have said "no" to that. It suddenly appeared when I was thirty. Steriod creams seem to have no effect on it but a steriod shot really seemed to tone it down a bit.

I was put on Mavik and another drug, but on very low doses because the meds lower my blood pressure. I than went for another Echo 6 months later. My EF at this time was 65% and so they left me on the pills. I was wondering what my next move should be, because I really don't want to stay on these pills any longer than I need to be because of how low they make my blood pressure, I often get light headed. Any suggestions would be a huge help thanks.

- white band at the top and pink at the bottom. O_O My thumbnails are the most notably affected. I have moons on the my thumbs so my nails were looking all white except for about a 3 mm reddish pink arc separating the moon from the rest of my nails. Today my thumbnails are still fairly white but not as bad as it was last night. The rest of my nails had milder white bands at the top last night but today it's not as bad either.

But after looking at all those pages, they would show me a page w/ 4 thumbnails of similar pages and I discovered I should have also paid attention to position on the page, exactly what kind of squiggly lines, exact shape of the blob, and how heavy of lines did the bio hazard thing have, etc.! I didn't even attempt to memorize that many details so I really had no idea which of the 4 thumbnails to choose, and I had no need of the 60 seconds per question to make my decision.

Hello, I'm a 38 yr old female on disability for the past couple of years, I can't leave the house, or even function during the morning, until about 1pm. I usually get up around 9 or 10 am and by the time I'm done showering and brushing my teeth I start sweating just before I want to put on my make up to go outside. Tiny pink spots everywhere, random edema in my ankles, both thumbnails have 2 vertical ridges, stiffness in my right hand fingers, back spasms that feel like heartburn making it difficult to breath.

All my fingers nails are not as hard as before but have strengthened. My thumbnails are another story. The center (from side to side) is soft as can be and brittle, they split but the sides are hard so I end up with rounded wear gouges that I can't keep up with. They look like cr@p not that it really matters.
