1310633 tn?1430224091 Since then, the Treasury Department has required all new recipients of payments from federal benefits programs -- including Social Security, Supplemental Security Income disability, Veterans Affairs and government pension plans -- to sign up for electronic payments. It set a March 1, 2013, deadline for all other recipients to do the same. Roughly 93% of payments are now being made electronically. But about 5 million checks are still mailed each month -- representing an additional $4.
Avatar n tn Is there any medcation as mentioned above can cause this as side effect? Any other suggestion? Please reply.
163305 tn?1333668571 Now, a decade-plus later, McNealy’s prophetic words have take on a far more sinister significance than he probably intended. They are increasingly becoming the operating assumption of the digital corporate state. Whether going online, using a PC, smartphone, tablet or digital TV, users can no longer assume they have any privacy. In fact, users should assume they have absolutely no privacy.
1041303 tn?1421387341 I had to ask for mine at the pharmacy desk, I guess people were lifting them so just a security precaution. They were 22 dollars for a two pack here in Canada..
Avatar f tn I wonder how he managed to pass all the Security checks to become a US citizen in 2009 ......?
Avatar m tn Magnetic resonance imaging can interfere with pacemakers and should be avoided. Digital cellular phones can also interfere with pacemakers. The phone should be held on the ear opposite from the side of the pacemaker and not to place the phone in the pocket near the chest.
752530 tn?1233519188 I take morphine daily and was working as a paramedic on an ambulance. I know I cant do any meaningful work anymore. I applied for Social Security and was denied, I am at 6 months on my appeal. My lawyer feels sure I will get it eventually. I expect to be denied again and have to go before the Judge. I am getting pretty frustrated on this appeal taking so long. My late husband got his on his first go around and heard in 3 months.
706250 tn?1232453817 Are you asking about social security disability? From what I understand here and on my womenheart board, the process is extremely slow and excruciatingly precise. Don't look for anything to happen right away - the norm seems to be 3-4 years. If you have the resources you may want to consider hiring an attorney to help the paperwork process- that seems to speed it up a bit. If anyone out there knows differently, please speak up. I have not been through the SSDI process personally.
1118228 tn?1261013203 For more information on Social Security go to their official website at ssa.gov. For specific assistance with benefits issues you can speak to your local independent living center: http://www.ilru.org/html/publications/directory/index.
767538 tn?1276575320 I for one do not receive social security benefits but will probably be applying for them at some point in the next few years I would imagine. I'm looking for people's SSDI 'stories' if anyone feels comfortable sharing. This information will be very helpful to a lot of people and I thank anyone in advance for responding to this post.
Avatar f tn From what I am reading here it could very well be from the interferon treatment. The problem is getting Social Security to recognize this if the medical community will not. I must say though that even had I known that I would have long term side effects from treatment I would have done it anyway. Hep C would have killed me as it did my younger sister and the side effects I can live with.
Avatar f tn I have been in the same job for 5 years, I own my home as does my partner and I have a car and savings. I do feel if you have some financial security/independence that will put less pressure on a relationship but who knows - he says he wants the same thing so we will see. I'll keep you posted but in the meantime if anyone else had or has a similar experience please share.
Avatar f tn I was put on Mavik and another drug, but on very low doses because the meds lower my blood pressure. I than went for another Echo 6 months later. My EF at this time was 65% and so they left me on the pills. I was wondering what my next move should be, because I really don't want to stay on these pills any longer than I need to be because of how low they make my blood pressure, I often get light headed. Any suggestions would be a huge help thanks.

Avatar f tn Has anybody gotten a false positive on a digital pregnancy test? I took one Sunday night and got a Very clear "Pregnant" then next morning took another test out of same box and got a Negative. A day later went to get blood test and it was Negative? Benn TTC for three years almost, AND THIS WAS A CRUEL JOKE....I DON'T TRUST DIGITAL ANYMORE..
Avatar f tn This is not always the case and one should never try to avoid a "call back" Until the film is done in various views (compression or magnified) there is no way to tell what was seen on the screening film. You might ask your Physician to order a "Diagnostic" mammogram (if your Insurance will pay for it under your particular circumstance). "Digital" Mammography has nothing to do with it. Regards ....
Avatar n tn I recently got Army selection and during their medical test they told that I have Digital Tremor. What exactly is this? Only my ring finger in the left hand shakes when strecthing the fingers for more than 20 seconds. Is it actually tremor? Will I get rejected in the Appeal medical boards? Please help me.
Avatar f tn PS Clearblue Digital is the only digital I would recommend. I haven't tried the First Response digital test but First Response IS the most sensitive test on the market. So Clearblue Digital or FRER.
163305 tn?1333668571 Under construction by contractors with top-secret clearances, the blandly named Utah Data Center is being built for the National Security Agency. A project of immense secrecy, it is the final piece in a complex puzzle assembled over the past decade. Its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world’s communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks.
676912 tn?1332812551 I hate digital tests because they tell me NO. There is no guessing or creating lines in my head to give me hope. They simply say, 'ha ha ha lady. big fat no!' lol. I prefer the ones I can take apart and hold under a microscope and analyze for days. sigh. BAD ANSWER!
Avatar f tn Prior to 1984, members of Congress were covered only by a separate Civil Service Retirement System that was criticized as being overly generous. They did not pay Social Security taxes and received no Social Security retirement credit for their time in office. However, legislation passed in 1983 required members to begin paying into Social Security, effective January 1984.
Avatar f tn This cycle I tried a pee-on-a-stick, but attached to a digital reader, this time only one day read as positive (smiley face). Are the digital ones more accurate? My cycle is a bit up and down after losing my boy in Sep 09, so this could be affecting some of my readings. I also wondering whether I should invest in the digital ovulation monitor or not? If anyone has been using one could you let me know what you think. Thanks.
