5615074 tn?1378316840 Is it safe to teach my daughter how to ride a "big girl" bike? She is 3 and a half, so her bike is really small. I am 18 weeks 1 day, but look about 7 months.
Avatar n tn Is there any medcation as mentioned above can cause this as side effect? Any other suggestion? Please reply.
Avatar n tn I am 6 wks pregnant and I did a 15 mole long bike ride along with other cyclists. Is that safe? Or should I lay back from bike riding in my 1st trimester?
Avatar f tn ve really come up with is the accident factor.. Anyone know of any other reason bike riding might not be a good idea during pregnancy? I did go on a bike ride with my son and husband yesterday other than sore legs I feel fine.. Just curious...
Avatar n tn Don't fall or crash. That's the biggest concern with bike riding.
Avatar f tn About 6 months ago my treadmill died so I purchased a stationary bike to change things up. I feel like I need double the time on this thing to get my heartrate up. Do others feel the same way? Is walking really the best thing to flatten this stomach?
5049711 tn?1364572195 My hub has a bike and I've been dying to go out for a ride - I know once the baby comes we're not gonna be able too - Do you think it's alright if I go out? I'm 38 weeks and 3 days...
Avatar f tn I checked with my ob on exercise when I found out I was pregnant since I'm a bit overweight to start with. Stationary bikes are ok because you most likley won't fall off. Then again I've noticed pregnancy makes me a huge clutz. I use the treadmill because it's easier on my knees than running on pavement and a stationary bike because it's safer than riding my real bike. Plus you can read a good magazine or watch tv while on the bike. I say go for it!
Avatar f tn Would any of you lovely people happen to know if pedaling on the stationary bike (I have an old one from the 1970's) is safe for pregnant women? I plan to ask my doctor but wanted to know your thoughts if any of you have any knowledge on it! Missing you guys!
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, what are your thoughts on riding a bike in the park if I'm 5 weeks preggo?
Avatar f tn I was put on Mavik and another drug, but on very low doses because the meds lower my blood pressure. I than went for another Echo 6 months later. My EF at this time was 65% and so they left me on the pills. I was wondering what my next move should be, because I really don't want to stay on these pills any longer than I need to be because of how low they make my blood pressure, I often get light headed. Any suggestions would be a huge help thanks.

1831849 tn?1383228392 Bike MS 2015 East End RIde is in the books! With the help of some "creative" navigation Linda and I (and many other riders) managed to turn 25 miles into 30, but we are none the worse for wear :-) With the help of some amazingly supportive, and generous, friends we were able to raise over $15,000 for the Natl. MS Society!
Avatar f tn I am a biker, I bike every were with the kids bike trailer attached easiest way around. I don't mind walking but prefer to bike, when should I stop I am 21 weeks pregnant.
Avatar f tn Sure you can ride a bike when you are pregnant. I am planning to ride my bike untill 40 weeks (go for groseries etc).
Avatar n tn Took my husband to the CHF Specialist today. You were right. He cannot ride his bike. He can use the stationery bike (with mattresses surrounding the bike). Thanks again.
Avatar n tn Do you have a bike? If you do then you can convert your own outdoor bike into an indoor exercise machine easily and inexpensively with an indoor trainer or roller. Which one is best for you depends on your preferences, goals and fitness experience. To convert your bike to an indoor machine using a trainer, you affix your back wheel into an elevated mount and your front wheel rests on a plastic block.
Avatar m tn d like to know how long it takes before symptoms develop. I bought a new triathlon bike and rode 12 miles on it on a Tuesday morning. I felt fine all day and even went for a short run that night. The next morning, Tuesday, I still felt fine. Sometime around 10AM, 26 hours after my bike ride, I began to feel sore in my lower back. I've had this before when I lift something heavy the incorrect way.
Avatar f tn I just started riding my bike again - and even bought a new one. I can't explain how wonderful it is - as I don't enjoy walking that much anymore - and my balance and "bike" legs are coming back - I even take one of my dogs along with me now. Even though the heat usually bothers me alot - for some reason when I bike, nothing seems to hurt or bother me. Any one here have some biking tips or things to share - has or does it help you feel better?
Avatar f tn Why are you not allowed to bike ride while pregnant? What can u do other then walk...
Avatar f tn What do you ladies think of using an exercise bike as well as walking....its hard for me to find some one who will walk with me...im 37 weeks today and had my sweep yesterday,im 3 cm have to be 4 before the hospital will keep me,my contractions have been between 4 and 6 mins apart...
Avatar f tn So I was riding my bike and I hit a little jump lost control of my bike and hitting asphalt and my thiegh(forgot how to spell it) hit first and my bike hitting me a heavy bike and its been almost been 2 weeks and the bruise from that is gone and it still hurts and I think its getting worse.
Avatar f tn s probably best not to but if you are very used to it and comfortable on a bike and are on it on a regular basis then you should still be ok for a bit.
