WE are not Statistics. When I was diagnosed my chances we low. I had a rarer form of Ovarian Cancer IIIc called Clear Cell which does not respond to chemotherapy. They had to leave cancer six places because it was not operable. The chemo worked and I am in remission. I had a friend named Reynolds Price he wrote a book "A Whole New Life An Illness and a Healing". In 1984 he had spinal Cancer and the Doctors gave him no chance. He lived until 2011.
Yes, it's called Raynauds Syndrome. It causes the symptoms you mention. I have it also. As far as I know, mine is primary - that is, I just have Raynauds. Many people have secondary - they also have something else like Lupus or scleroderma or rheumatoid arthritis. I visit an excellent board for Raynauds folks but can't post the link here. The one thing they stress is to see a rheumatologist. They also have many ways to cope with it. If you google raynauds there is the board by that name.
If her lips are turning blue like the color of a crayon, you really need to get her in to see a doctor right away. Not to scare you, but one of the symptoms of ventricle failure in the heart is blue lips, hands, feet, ears and nose. This is an extreme emergency situation if this is the case. With her hands being cold, this could definitely be circulation and her heart. Does she have any swelling in her ankles, legs, abdomen? Has she noticed any weight gain?

You just have to do it awhile and you learn what is low vs high (ie knuckle deep to reach it vs full middle finger vs full ring finger). Then soft vs hard would be the difference between your lips and nose. I know way to much information, but you asked;-) It is also best when you cervix is wet (ie egg white stretchy discharge). Just remember most fertile is SHOW--Soft, High, Open, Wet. Again sorry I can't help with open vs closed. Good luck.

Heehee -- I'd love to see that picture of Bill! Bill and I are the same age, and you are a few years younger, but I'm sure you remember the bell bottoms that dragged the ground, and the Burt Reynolds mustaches! Oh, those were the days. I believe what we all have is likely caused by Cheyletiella or Neocheyletiella mites. Likely from a rabbit, dog, or cat. I have struggled with these for three years now. Family thinks I'm making mountains out of molehills, and that i am overly sensitive. I've done so much research, i probably know more than most people would ever want to know about parasitic mites. It all started when my stepson's mother got an indoor pet rabbit as an "emotional support animal".
Thank you very much for your comments. I used the Framingham calculator and the Reynolds Risk score. My risk for both results were 1%, so no difference for the more recent numbers. My blood pressure is 108/78 (no medication.) No big weight loss recently. I lost the two pounds I put on over the holidays, but that's it.

Here is the article I was referring to. I hadn't remembered that it addresses nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and not simple fatty liver so it may not be as applicable as I thought. Nevertheless I will post it.
I was watching my local news today and they started talking about VS bras and people experiencing rashes and itching. I can't believe it. For over a year I was to the dermatologist, gynocologist and family doctor trying to get help for the unbelieveable itching that I had on my breasts. I was wearing a VS bra. I went through many topical creams, changed my diet, changed my detergent, even the doctors were baffled. Over the summer I went to VS and got new bras.
