Avatar f tn Do u have a hematologist, or someone who can help you from going into crisis. You may need transfusions to help reduce your blood cells from sickling and to keep them more normal. I've never heard of a SSC pt being allergic to pregnancy, just high risk. As long as u f/u with your ob and hematologist they will help guide you through. Don't stress too much, I have 4 SSC pts as mothers with 4-3 kids. And they are doing very well.

Avatar f tn So yesterday I went to w.I.c. and had to give them my son's provider one card. But the thing is the medical people didn't put the r on the end of It.so i thought it was no big deal cause it probably didn't fit. And w.I.c was trying to tell me that they have to put what's on the card in file and I told them abdulshaku isn't is name. Its abdulshakur. So I pulled out his ssc and he said well, I have to call and get a new one with the r .

Avatar n tn Hi all, I'm not going to drag out my life story here. I have been having MS type symptoms for well over a year now with no diagnosis- oh, except its psychological. Funny, we've learned things that help control "it" and trigger "it" but seeing a shrink did not help. I had every test in the book done about 15 months ago....MRI's, blood work, LP with no answers I just had a question if any one has had the MBP blood test? A dr.

Avatar m tn I have Systemic Sclerosis (10 odd years). Had echo in Sept due to palpitations/pain in left side of chest. Showed mild RAE and Moderate LAE and my RV was upper limits of normal. Have been on amlodipine and quinapril for about 6-7 years as well as other meds. My blood tests came back fine except for my RDW which is elevated. My NT-ProBNP was only at 6 pmol/L so very low. The Cardiologist immediately ruled out coronary disease - he said I was too young (40yrs old).

Avatar f tn I haven't had a similar situation, but I can say that yes, there is a certain pattern with MRIs that indicate ms. MS is the only condition that has lesions that come and go. Lesions generally appear over time in different areas and can grow in their same place, and also recede and even disappear. They normally start out in certain areas and follow a pattern over time as,the disease progresses. Her comments as you state them, concerning your MRIs don't sound right.
