I was going through this study and found out that a person who is HIV + had false negative results for one year. He was considered as an elite controller . But my understanding was elite controller are also detectable on Rapid test.

I was taking prenate elite during pregnancy & I was fine....I still take them as I am breastfeeding.....but I am very constipated. Do you think that is why?? Should I stop taking them & just take a regular multivitamin?? Please respond asap.
Hello. I am a straight male from the us. I have had 2 false positive elisa hiv tests. One was in February and one a month after in March. These have been conducted well over 12 months post risk event. Unprotected with female. I had a false positive repeatedly reactive elisa hiv test followed by a negative ifa and negative naat. I did a oraquick home test and got a negative result a week after the elisa.
Also, I should point out that there is a big difference between elite controllers and the myth of delayed seroconversion. Elite controllers are a scientifically very interesting (and rare) group of persons who become HIV infected and whose immune system keeps the level of virus in their bodies at very low but not undetectable levels. Elite controllers however do produce antibodies to infection and are readily detectable with standard HIV antibody tests.
Do they have a longer window period to identify antibodies? Or do they typically develop antibodies around the same time, and they are just able to "manage" the virus without medication longer?
It is an old paper of 2005, Low Levels of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 DNA in High-Risk Seronegative Men, that describes several people who seroconverted many years after they are identified HIV DNA positive. These people are likely elite controllers, who suppress virus under an extreme low level that doesn't trigger anti-bodies. During the past 4 years, I have some antibody and RNA tests, and both negative, but I have a high CD8+DR percentage continually.
I took Prenate Elite! They are Rx but they worked great for helping me with my constipation.
Your OB should be able to point you in the right direction. I also like the Rx because they were full of DHA!!!

I didn't mean to "put you off". We aren't an "elite" forum - we just don't advocate weight loss methods that seem to be extreme or won't hold up over the long haul. We merely advocate weight loss using sensible diet and moderate exercise.

Hi, I've been taking Eutirox for a year and started taking Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite two weeks ago. I got a blood test and my T3 & T4 were higher than normal. My doctor says I have relapsed and have hyperthyroidism again. I told her I was taking Hydroxucut but she says this has nothing to do. But I think my levels were high due to this fat burner. Could I have gotten the virus a longggg time ago and be an elite controller? As mention, I tested 8 months out with negative antibody from my real risk. After I got this RNA detected at <20 spec, I did an antibody which would've been 8 weeks after hand job and almost five weeks after syringe scare, the antibodies came back negative. Could this just be a false RNA positive since the viral load was below 20?
No issues since 85? I just thought that 2000 was when the really elite testing started, that is why thw 95 one scared me.
The reason it could be is because some people could be elite controllers and not have viral loads. This is very, very rare.
