There are plenty of people who are medically prescribed THC or Marijuana. I don't know that there are any HEALTH benefits from THC consumption - but it has been proven to help glaucoma and also has been known to stop nausea. It is illegal in most states and Federally. There's a form of marijuana in pill form... it's called MARINOL (Dronabinol). I was put on it when I lost 40lbs as a side-effect of taking another medication. The side-effect of MARINOL, is that it gives you the munchies and MAKES you want to eat. Gained the weight back slowly, and stopped taking it. Makes me wonder why they went all-out, and went the actual marijuana route, instead of trying MARINOL first.

I have heard of them but never known anyone that has been prescribed the "pills" you are asking about. In order to understand the effects of THC (the active ingredient in Marijuana/Cannabis) we need to understand the properties of the drug. I'd be willing to try it. I am one of those people who do use marijuana medicinally, although my state does not yet participate. It does help with MS symptoms, particularly the spacisity. The big plus about it is that it reduces the amount of narcotics that I have to use to help reduce the pain from MS and degenerative disk disease. The drawback to marijuana use, at least for me, is that I do not like the so-called euphoria. Go figure, I would be one of the weird ones.

That is hard on you to take that much Tylenol every day, the mmj would benefit you, but ask your doctor about Marinol (not sure if im spelling it right), a synthetic pill form so that you dont have to smoke, if your doc is open minded. It isnt quite the same but, its worth a try. I think that It helps me put the pain in the back of my mind, sometimes it breaks through when it its intense. But the dull achey pains that are constant are eased enough to not think about as much.

I just don`t know if I would get kicked out of the trial if they discovered thc in my blood.Also I am not sure if it would harm my liver in any way or interfer with the interferon and riba and the trial drug.There seems to be a difference of opinion on what marijuana may or may not do to the liver.
