If i have a prescription for alprolozam and I take a xanax will it show up differently on a urine test? I realize Alprolozam is the generic version - other than being cheaper than xanax, what other differences are there. Xanax seems to help me relax as where Alprolozam just makes me tired. I have constant joint/muscle pain from Fibromyalgia. How come I can't get a doctor to prescribe me xanax, but they will prescribe alprolozam? Also, how do I get a doctor to prescribe Marinol?

I've read about some people diagnosed with ADD taking marinol as a form of medication. I was wondering what effects it would have when taken with adderall, or as a replacement for other meds. What sort of side effects, and/or lack of side effects to make other meds more effective.

Has anyone had to apply for merck patient assistance? I have 4 weeks supply on hand but 10 left on tx. My question is, has anyone had experience with the Merck rx assistance? Does it take long or work on a pay scale? Would they really provide me with thousands of $ of meds no cost?

There's a form of marijuana in pill form... it's called MARINOL (Dronabinol). I was put on it when I lost 40lbs as a side-effect of taking another medication. The side-effect of MARINOL, is that it gives you the munchies and MAKES you want to eat. Gained the weight back slowly, and stopped taking it. Makes me wonder why they went all-out, and went the actual marijuana route, instead of trying MARINOL first.

Is it of your opinion that Marinol can be an alternative drug to treat Multiple Sclerosis? I cannot handle shots, and I know there are many side effects from the shots.

My dad takes oxycodone 15mg/ oxycontin 20mg/ marinol 2.5mg/ and ibuprofen 220mg Marinol is synthetic marijuana and it is doing wonders for his back pain. But if this is the case then shouldn't he theoretically be able to go off of the oxy's? I am so confused. Doctors don't tell me about liver or kidney protection and that is one of my first concerns.

So, he perscribed marinol (he wanted to give me options) and told me vaporizing marijuana was ok too. This was actually after my cardiologist thought this would be a good plan for me. So I tried it. The Marinol works fantastic, the marijuana works almost as well too. There's little to no pain when I use it before I usually get an attack, and during an attack, it stops the pain in its tracks. It's really amazing.

They are hard to find but typically the doctor you would visit to get your MMJ license renewed would prescribe the opioids or refer you to another doctor that is MMJ Friendly. Another option is for you to ask the doctor for a prescription for Marinol...it is synthetic THC. I would like to try using Marinol (synthetic THC) for pain; it helped my pain as well as my nausea when I went through my Stem-cell Transplant. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. There simply are too many people with MS in need.Most MS assistance is preapproved, not after the fact. Even the drug company assistance works that way. If you have all ready filled a prescription they will not reimburse you. Alex The MSSA give assistance for MRIs and cooling vests.
