It appears to have less side effects than many harsh prescription drugs and if it can help people who are suffering from chronic pain, cancer, MS and other medical issues, then why not? What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it should be allowed strictly for medical reasons? Why or why not?
Maybe you're thinking of Marinol? That's all well and good, but how do we know the beneficial chemicals from cannabis are in Marinol? Personally I think the creation of a 'prescription' from cannabis is just a way to throw money at the drug manufacturers. Recently a drug manufacturer was allowed to start making a drug for expectant mothers that was supposed to help prevent premature births. Previously the pharmacies would create a compound, and the drug cost $15 per dose.

People are confused, as I was until today, regarding Medicinal Marijuana laws. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and got my prescription and letter for Medicinal Marijuana from my doctor. Here in Nevada, you can grow your own once you pay $200 to the Dept. Of Agriculture for your "card". The question was: Can you go to another state where they have Medicinal Marijuana dispensaries and get Medicinal Marijuana if your state has no dispensaries?
Are there some people that require assistance to walk, yes. Imagine if we where able to instantly look at a person and know the physical malady's they go through. I would bet that we would be surprised to learn how many of those people acutally have MS and "we can't see it." Unless you see me trip over a blade of grass, you may not know that I have MS. Unless you heard me slur my words sometimes, you would nver know I had MS.
now those who know me, know i would'nt find a problem for sick folks taking medical pot if it was legal and dr suggested and monitored...as long as it was a prescription with warning lables, testing and etc...from dea, just like vicodin and the others...i feel it would be safer to have it monitored so it does'nt get into the wrong hands as easily... it can "in my opinion" really mess up folks lives if abused or used improperly...
he did give me prescription for the anti-viruals but i'm not sure if to take them or not as he said take them when the rash appears...
