Did anyone take macrobid for uti during third trimester?

the only thing they found was some red blood cells in my urine. The doctor prescribed me macrobid anyways...I havent taken them yet because it has almost completely gone away. I have been gorging myself with water, so i am hoping that it was only because i was dehydrated. Any suggestions? Should I take the macrobid anyways?

My recent urine test showed positive for Staphylococcus. After unprotected intercourse and oral sex with a new girlfriend I soon developed bleeding of the gums and an intermittent light burning in the prostate area. Is Staphylococcus considered an STD and will the antibiotic Microbid kill it? Thank you.

So anyway she went to the doctor and they said she had a uti, and gave her macrobid. She said they were also doing a urine culture, but its been two weeks and she has not mentioned any results.. Well in less than 48 hours of being on macrobid she said all her symptoms were gone.. MY question is.. Could her bladder infection have been caused by an std (chlamydia, gonorrhea), and if it was would the macrobid have gotten rid of her symptoms or cured it?

I told my OB that my urologist said that im always will have blood in my urine beacuse of hx. of cyst in my kidney so I requested to have urine culture prior to taking Macrobid, my OB is insistant to start the med. since it is going to take awhile for culture results to come back. so im already in my 4rt day of the meds. when the nurse called for the result and she said is negative but i still need to take the meds until im done.

When someone has a stricture there is incomplete evacuation of urine from the bladder which leads to stasis of urine and thus raising the chances of an UTI. Have you consulted a urologist in this regard. You are having way too many UTI which can affect your general health and also your bladder and kidneys. Do consult a urologist and seek surgical intervention as medical conservative treatment is of limited benefit.

The pain goes from your back to your stomach none stop pain. I drank alot of green tea with some vitamins and cranberry juice help me out alot.

I don’t feel burning pain, no cloudy or smelly urine and no blood. Went to see my PCP and did a urine test and found white blood cells. So he prescribed me Cipro (stopped after 1 dose due to a reaction) and now on Bactrim (7/10 dose now). I feel like **** for the first three days and today feel more energy but the right side urethra urination pain is still here and feeling worse. Anyone experience this or have a clue what this is? The only thing I was ever told I could take for it since I was pregnant was Macrobid. You should call your doctor tomorrow and ask about the Macrobid. Also try drinking cranberry juice, or if you can't stand it (i can't) try the OTC cranberry pills, they should help just the same as the juice. I forget exactly how its supposed to help but it does. I got my urine tested and got positive protein but my bp is normal. I'm 26 weeks pregnant should i be alarmed for positive protein? What does it mean?

It was a Thursday night when an urge to urinate started and by the next morning I had very visible blood in my urine. I went to a walk in clinic and did a urine test, it showed that I had the UTI. I was put on 3 days of Bactrim. It seemed to work great and the next day all of my symptoms were gone. But then two days after finishing the antibiotics, the symptoms came back and I had abdominal pain and kidney pain. I went back to the walk in clinic and was put on Macrobid for five days.

I've had 3 uti's this pregnancy, therefore I have been put on macrobid for the remaining of my pregnancy. I have to take 1 every night until I deliver. Started @32 weeks am now 35+5. No problems from it yet. I haven't had any syptoms of uti so I would never known if it weren't for the urine soles at Dr. Office.

I have been treated recently with macrobid for a bladder infection and took a single dose of More Milk Plus. My urine is a dark color too, and I have no rashes, bumps or dry skin, but very, very itchy! Please help.

I never noticed myself feeling better when prescribed the macrobid any time during this year. I had a urine culture sent last week and I will be returning to my GP ASAP to see what the results of this were. Foam in urine daily, and lately there seems to be little things floating in urine (white, like mucus?). Saw a urologist 2 days ago, another urinalysis showed very few WBC but nothing else. Hello, I went to the doctor 7 days ago after experiencing symptoms of a UTI (pain, blood in urine, frequent urination). The doctor said I had a UTI, and prescribed 100mg Macrobid, 2x a day for 7 days. I just finished my last dose. I no longer have pain, burning, or blood when going to the bathroom, however I do have a general discomfort in my lower abdomen. What does this mean?

The doctor said the results came back negative and there was a lot of water in my urine. She asked if i could be pregnant, she then ran a pregnancy test the first one came back positive and the second came back negative. She started me on Macrobid and told me to take another test. When reading the leaflet for the home pregnancy test it says antibiotics can effect the resulst so should i take the test or wait till the antibiotics are done.

So now I am on Keflex 4x a day for 7 days. Today is 2nd day, I still feel the pain.
