Hello everyone! I'm new to this site and to Lyme. I've been doing so well on Levaquin for 30 days. Infact, I've been feeling great! Last week, I began having pain in joints and neck. I know Levaquin can cause this, but so can Lyme. I'm not sure if I should stop taking the Levaquin now, wait and call my doctor on Monday, or try something else first? My doctor is not a Lyme doctor.
I ask my liver doctor and he said it was fine what the other doctor was giving me for my pneumonia. But don't let it get worse cause we have no immune system and man when we get sick it's bad. God bless I hope yours does not get as bad as mine did. And I was still on all my treatment. No fun.
i recently found out that im 2 weeks pregnant and iwas on antibiotics(doxyclyn and metrronidazole) for bacterial infection before i took the test ,i want to know if this has affected the baby or me.
For me the dx has been complicated by the fact that I was on anti-biotics for the previous 10 days due to the pneumonia so when they did the urine test it didn't register anything because even one dose of anti-biotic will affect the test. They are going by my symptoms which are common)freq urination, burning etc.So i am wondering if it is something from surgery or something else?I had a ct scan in Oct and many u/s so I would think they would have shown my bladder.

I did experience some vaginal burning, and feeling of frequency to urinate, but was negative for uti, but for trace amount of bacteria. I was put on antibiotics, bactrim, and them macrobid with pyridum and the problem resolved. By july I was so weak I could barely walk. I was told i had walking pneumonia, put on another round of antibiotics~ z pack x 5 days, then generic biaxin (clarithromicin)~horrible drug!
i personally would much rather a doctor tell me the truth that they do not know instead of trying to pretend like its not important or that ur crazy or it will just go away, i think its great what ur nuerologist said, its a good way of admitting they can not know everything and as much as we wish want to know its true that they can not know it all, noone knows everything so i guess its good as long as they try and mine keep trying and like you said as long as we dont give up and keep looking for
I'm taking myself off Ambien too. My doctor told me that I will need to stay on Macrobid, Simvastatin, and Asprin for the rest of my life because of the nature of the heart attack. I wish you all the best, and hope that you are returning to a state of wellness. I know that continual pain is a very hard thing to bear. I hope my report is encouraging.
Every article on the internet has to do with Strep B in prenatal women (when it is very dangerous for the baby) and nothing about Strep B for regular women in their 40's like me :) Thanks, I'd love to hear from anyone who has ever been treated for this disease or any doctors out there.
My doctor told me that you can get pregnant immediately after getting off Mirena but it may take a month or two for your uterine lining to build back up. Since Mirena suppressed the lining from building up.
