s probably gone. The sensitivity and pain may take months to dissipate due to the sensitive nature of the anatomy and he put me on a daily dose of Celebrex. Last night, I couldn't sleep well... the pain was unbearable, at 3am which briefly helped. I have had numbness, achey scrotum and rectum all day. In fact, I have noticed that the pain is always in the recturm and scrotum area. Is there any insight anyone can share? I had a colonoscopy 4 years ago and it was all normal.
I do have pain in lower back, abdominal discomfort, pain with ejaculation, and pain in the testes that come and go (a lot of the symptoms come and go).

But then two days after finishing the antibiotics, the symptoms came back and I had abdominal pain and kidney pain. I went back to the walk in clinic and was put on Macrobid for five days. After five days however, none of my symptoms seemed to be gone. I went to immediate care and they gave me another five days of Macrobid. I finally started feeling better by the 7th day on Macrobid.
I took about two weeks to get rid of the UTI, and then I felt fine for about another two weeks.
i have been have uti symtoms for a few weeks took entire prescription of macrobid and started feeling slightly better but only for a couple days. i have a lot of flank and abdominal pain. i have been taking cranberry capsules and drinking water. i took 2 home uti test and both showed positive for leukocytes. i have been having fevers, chills, nausea and vomiting,should i go to the er or will they just think im stupid?
Hi.. has anyone else taken macrobid for uti?? Is it normal to feel horribly sick with it? How did you all deal with the nausea? My doc gave me reglan but it doesn't seem to be helping and I'm hardly half way with macrobid.. I've been non functional while taking it and it's getting worse every day.
Any advise on dealing with it will be appreciated..
She said at the end of urinating it kind of tingles and there was some presure and pain in her bladder area, but no burning.. Just tingling and pressure/pain in her bladder area.. So anyway she went to the doctor and they said she had a uti, and gave her macrobid. She said they were also doing a urine culture, but its been two weeks and she has not mentioned any results.. Well in less than 48 hours of being on macrobid she said all her symptoms were gone.. MY question is..
sounds like you have an infection either uti or yeast totally normal in pregnancy you could even have both at the same time witch would cause it to feel unbearable to walk or get up I've experienced this my second time around go to your doctors as soon as possible and ask the to check you for a uti so that they can give you macrobid so it'll go away then go to a local drug store and buy mionistat 7 day and a yeast infection test good luck start drinking cranberry juice hope you feel bet
I then went to a urologist who tested my urine and blood found nothing wrong and wanted me to get a ct scan so i did and he said everything looks fine.I went to a gastroenterologist he looked at the scan and seen nothing wrong, he checked for hernia no problems ,my bowel movements are unchanged, it does not hurt when urinating.I eat healthy and lift weights 4 times a week so I thought maybe i injured a muscle but I have no pain while working out or afterwards.
s an inflammatory response. And it gets better when the uti is healed and enough time passes for normalization. The antibiotics kill off bacteria causing the uti which then reduces inflammation. So, I'd say this is a real possibility. I know you posted a link which I opened and read. I guess they are studying it but it does appear to be pretty rare. If you look at that data, it's like 2 patients being looked at in one study and 20 out of 7,500 patients in another for .
Hi wondering if anyone can help me please. A month ago I started to have cramping pain in lower abdomen and frequent urination . My doctor put me on macrobid but that didn't help . Then put me on cipro which didn't help either . The pain would come and go with lower back pain as well and getting up to urinate and bladder pressure all the time . After that my urine culture came back positive with group b strep . I'm not pregnant . My doctor gave me 7 days of penicillin .
I am 16 wks. pregnant and my OB prescribed Macrobid for UTI, i had urinalysis and small amount of blood was noted. I told my OB that my urologist said that im always will have blood in my urine beacuse of hx. of cyst in my kidney so I requested to have urine culture prior to taking Macrobid, my OB is insistant to start the med. since it is going to take awhile for culture results to come back. so im already in my 4rt day of the meds.
I thought I had a bladder infection, as I had the burning related symptoms. I took Macrobid 7 days BID and the symptoms did not go away. When I've had a bladder infection in past years, the symptoms would go away within a couple days, so this was really different because I took the whole RX and symptoms remained. I then went to my GP and had a urine culture done and nothing grew; however, my doctor said to take Cipro 500 mg BID for 7 days. The burning stopped.
Last Sunday, one week from my UTI diagnosis, I had extreme pain on my left side and still had the low grade fever. Went to a OBGYN ER and was disgnosised with a cyst on my right ovary and one was resolving itself on the left ovary.
Following Monday I went back to my GP because the low grade fever was still happening. She preformed a Chest X-Ray, CBC, Kidney and Liver Function, and inflammation blood test and all came back normal.
I JUST FINISHED MACROBID 7 DAY TREATMENT. MY MENSTRUAL CAME 3 DAYS EARLY AND THERE IS BRIGHT RED BLOOD AND USUALLY MY MENSTRUAL BLOOD IS NOT THAT BRIGHT. I INITIIALLY WASNT DUE FOR MY MENSTRUAL UNTIL YESTERDAY I'VE BEEN BLEEDING SINCE THE 3RD AND IM STILL BLEEDING BUT NOT ALOT LIKE I WAS YESTERDAY AND THE DAYS BEFORE BUT THE BLEEDING HAS LIGHTENED. THE BLEEDING WILL COME OUT IN MY URINE I WANT TO KNOW WILL THE BLEEDING STOP?
Im currently 21 weeks pregnant and im taking 25mg of zoloft for my depression and anxiety and now i have kidney stones so im taking the antibiotic macrobid, phengran for nausea and tylenol 3 for the pain of the kidney stones my question is, is it ok to take these medications together im scared that taking all these meds will hurt my baby
I had abdominal pain, sharp pains in my breasts, itchy in my vagina, headaches, fatigue, lower back pain, sciatic flair (i get this often) and off and on tinglimg in my lips. (This happens when my lips get chapped or if im stressed) uncomfortable while having bowel movements, slight uti symptoms hard to explain and urine frequency. The whole inside of my vagina and anus was swollen. I had a thin and sometimes mucus discharge.
However, a week or 2 later, my frequent urination and irritation came back, and he put me on macrobid. This seemed to work a little for my urethral problems,but it worked A LOT for my testicle, which started to feel a lot better after weeks of pain. However, I finished the meds and still have many symptoms. He has now put me on cipro for 3 WEEKS and has no clue what's wrong dispite bladder utrasounds and scans. Any ideas?

Was in the ER weekend before last. Diagnosed me with a UTI, and put me on Macrobid 100mg BID. Got a call yesterday, they said my culture reads that the bacteria in my urine is resistant to Macrobid. So apparently they didn't do a Culture and Sensitivity test when I was in the ER like they should have. I had to pay $50 for the Macrobid that I took, that didn't and wouldn't do diddly-squat for my "UTI". I think I was misdiagnosed and mistrated with the Macrobid.
