Lyrica vs ultram

Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica vs ultram

lyrica

My eyes blureed before Lyrica. The headaches came after Lyrica. My dizziness left with Lyrica. The common denominator here is that I was taking Neurontin before changing to Lyrica. I found that when I took Nerontin regularly I put on weight, but the pain and flu like symptoms decreased enough to notice the difference.
We're all lab rats! Yep, cymbalta and lyrica together worked great for me, other than the Lyrica side effect of weight gain, coupled with sudden onset hypertension- I had to come off of it :( But it seriously reduced my pain by like 80%. Good luck!
at 16 went back on the pain meds because i just couldnt take the pain and tried to start with lower dosed ones like nucynta 100mg, ultram taking 250mg at a time then went back to the 10mg norco moved back up to the 10mg percs then they added the 30mg oxycontin back it was just a horrible cycle well last october i had a bad flair up and was scared because my doctors didnt really communicate with me they just throw scripts at me well i found a good doctor who put me on 30mg ms-contin 3 times a da

Third time was the charm but I was left with nerve damage at this point and for those with nerve pain - think shingles or diabetic neuropathy in your lower left pelvis vs. your extremities! I take Lyrica, which helps some. Ultram ER, which does nothing and Vicodin as needed - but feel like a drug addict when getting refills at Dr. Pain Mgmt. Dr. tried a stim implant and it didn't help - due to the location - he said it was the hardest to treat - imagine my joy! Not!

im at the end of my rope with everything!! the lyrica hasnt been working at all lately... my legs were hurting so bad this morning .. i couldnt hardly stand the pain !!! im afraid to ask my doctor for something else cause i dont want him to think im just wanting drugs and im afraid to get on something addictive and then something happen and be taken off of it and dont want to go through withdrawals or anything.
Also, you might benefit from some nerve medications like Lyrica, Cymbalta, Nuerontin etc. Those are made specifically for nerve pain. Good luck and take care.
Some of the medications used for FMS are the Neurontin (which you already tried), Lyrica and Cymbalta. For pain some use Ultram (Tramadol) or the Lidoderm patches. These medications only treat the symptoms and do have side-effects, so you would need to weigh the risks vs. the benefits involved. You could also try a natural creme called Sombra or CatsClaw. I've found that both work well for muscle aches.
I was taking up to 3-4 tylenol pm a night just to fall asleep for 30 min. and be up the rest of the night. I had to quit the ultram...i just stopped cold...i had no choice, as I dont have anymore..so we wll see...good luck wd'ing...I know it really *****.
My husband says he wants me to be strong and work through the pain because that's what I need to do to support our girls. The doctor did not want to switch me to Ultram because she feels it will not work well since I have tried Lyrica before and that did not work. I am at a loss of what to do. I worry so much about how I am going to function on the long term rather than making day by day. I don't know if I should continue the Norco or try to come off of it to see what happens.
Read up on the current medications like Lyrica, Cymbalta, Ultram, etc. and call your insurance company to see if they will be covered by your health insurance. By the way, the drug companies do offer cards that will reduce your prescription price at the pharmacy. Regardless of sleep apnea testing or not, focus on developing good sleep habits. (That was my number one "self-improvement" decision.) When you are in pain, this is particularly difficult.
I'm confused about everything I've been hearing about tramadol (Ultram). I understand that it should be used with caution (or not used at all) amongst abuse-prone individuals, but the other info I've seen seems contradictive. I've seen some treatment centers advertise that they use tramadol to help with opiate withdrawal, yet I've also read that taking tramadol during opiate withdrawal can INCREASE withdrawal symptoms. Can someone set me straight on this? Thanks in advance.
He also gave me a stronger form of vicodin (norco 10/325 vs 5/500) for the pain. I just started today. I still have a deep, throbbing pain in my back and chest, but feel "high" from the norcos. What can i take to ease the pain but net get all looped from them?
com/Q/How_bad_is_Tramadol_withdrawal Question - How bad is Tramadol WIthdrawal? Answer - Ultram (Tramadol) Withdrawal Tramadol is highly addictive. Normally your doctor would reduce intake slowly. Various withdrawal effects may include shakes, shivers, diarrhea, nausea, and possible flu-like symptoms. Not all people experience will all withdrawal symptoms, and some people may experience others not listed here.
They already have me on Cymbalta, Lyrica, Lortab10mg, Soma, Xanax and Ambien BUT I AM IN SUCH PAIN! It is unreal! I know it's not a good idea to double up or whatever but I have in desparation- it does not help! My legs give me the worst trouble. I take magnesium, calcium and a few other natural things. I do swim exercise religiosly now BUT the pain is beyond any pain I've ever been through including natural childbirth!!!
Kayleigh I also suffer with nerve damage and severe sciatica, are you on any seizure meds for this? Gabapentin or Lyrica can be very helpful. I've taken gabapentin for many years.... best to you all old and new friends....
