lyrica toxicity

i am on 10 mg lisinopril daily (blood pressure), klonopin 1 mg 3 x daily, pristiq 50 mg daily, lyrica 200 mg daily, protonix 40 mg daily, and 7.5/325 mg of norco 3 x daily. I've never had performance issues until a few days ago with a new relationship that i dont want to **** up because she is a very positive and awesome person. im freaking out about being 26 yrs old and having performance issues. somebody please help!!!!!

I will go out on a limb to add that the rare side effects have a greater possibility in older people (post menopause for obvious reasons) an A-type personality and / or weakened immune system, but as well for anyone suffering constipation or decreased urine output (common side effect of Lyrica) since then hour body is not washing the drug from our system and toxicity then becomes the fuel for yet more side effects.

After one month my HCV RNA PCR test was positive. Can any one tell me that PCR test can give the same results as in Pregabalene toxicity and HCV ?

all this time not connecting this to the lyrica. I ended up in an ER with heart palls and anxiety through the roof. felt like I was on a bad acid trip with speed involved. not that I tried either of those since high school. my menopause shipped sailed many years ago, but hot flashes big time.....pins and needles feeling all over my body. like a nettles sting. even my tongue. jaw clenching, stomach problems. too many side effects to list.

I had been on prescription medication for about 2 years, lyrica. I had never tried vitamins before because I thought the prescription stuff would be stronger and work better. My friend gave me a bottle of a vitamin supplement called neuroplenish about a month ago. At first I used it with my prescription meds but after about 3 weeks I stopped taking the prescription meds and I felt fine. The prescription meds were a little cheaper, but the side effects just were not worth it.

Should I go to Johns Hopkins and get a skin biopsy to check for small fiber neuropathy? Mine is idiopathic -not diabetic, not toxicity from vitamins or other toxins. Every test has come up normal - MRIs, Lumbar punctures, bloodwork etc.

A friend of mine ODed and was dead within 30 min. from liver failure (acedamenophen toxicity). Also be sure and take ibuprophen w/ food to keep from getting an ulcer. I know you know all of this, but sometimes desperate people do desperate things to get relief.

Please get a complete hormone panel ESH, LH, estrogen, progesterone and see if there is an imbalance. Hormone replacement therapy will help. With metal toxicity, certain chelating agents are given which bind with the metal and remove them from the body. Normal detox diet will not take care of that. It basically increases the antioxidants in the body. Hope this helps. Take care!

I guess I would just like to know can there be a sweet/foul taste that alternates with this metallic taste. I take prednisone (5mgs), mobic, and lyrica and have for over two years. Could any of these be the cause? Does anyone know if this taste thing could just disappear just like it one day appeared. It's horrible. I eat to cover it up but nothing makes it go away. I brush constantly, some days I constantly keep hard candy in my mouth. Does anyone know if this will get worse?

A few months before I started HCV tx I started taking Lyrica and Tramadol for the body pains I was having; they are prescribed by my pain management dr. After researching Tramadol last week and seeing its sx I was wondering if it was contributing to the hallucinations I was having with the interferon and ribavirin. I asked the doctor if there was any other pain med I could take after doing the research and scaring myself silly and was told no.

Will swelling and itching go away by continuing to take Lyrica. I started in my hands and feet. I have been taking it a month and the symptoms are daily but are mild and seem less and less. Today, it is only swelling on the top of my ear with slight itching. Should it continue taking it, because i heard that discontinuing could cause a seizure.

Has anyone been prescribed lyrica? I have, and have had great results with it for nerve pain in my right arm and hand. Opinions, please. My two other posts with more description vanished, so I will leave with this lol.

Does anyone take lyrica and if so, has it made a difference resting at night? Thanks.

i just started lyrica yesterday...75mg...only taken it twice...could it ALREADY be helping my symptoms or is the "good feeling" just in my head?

I started Lyrica in Nov. O7'. I felt horrible for a long time. I went slowly. One pill a week, until I reached 150mg. I hurt all that time. After I had that 150mg ( not much) I started feeling better. It took so long.....more than a month. Finally, I did feel better. I did have breakthrough pain, nothing like I had before, but stabbing here and there. I still do! My Rhemy asked me to up my dose. I refused, as I had sides that put me asleep so often...

so for awhile when i missed the lyrica, i thought oh, i have vicodin...but as Vicodin off, more and more the lyrica helped.....but when I missed doses of everything..., It was by my wife keeping a diary, that I realized I was missing so many just a few days or even one...the Oh! went on... And now I have taken 3yrs without feeling the sick,sweaty feeling I felt when I missed dose.. I did not gain weight ..

Hi, Lyrica shouldn't be addictive at the low doses used for neuropathy. My grandmothers been on it or the other derivative, gabapentin, for years. Just take it at low doses. It works wonders for treating nerve pain though.

My pain doc says neurontin is a much safer drug than lyrica and wants me to stick to the neurontin.....lyrica does have a euphoria associted with it with use for some....especially at first....

I have b een taking Lyrica for by back for several months. Lyrica is also for nerve damage. I have been 3 days without it(300mg a day) and I must say it truley does help.

has anyone ever been perscribed Lyrica for cronic pain. If so how much do you take, and how long did it take to notice any results. I started taking 50MG's 3X's a day. I started last Tuesday, and haven't noticed any difference in my pain. any feedback would be great.
