Lyrica overdose treatment

Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica overdose treatment

lyrica

Avatar f tn Lyrica is the one medication that I know of that is made to help with the pain of Fibromyalgia. I am on Lyrica myself for Fibro and it has helped me but I must say that although it doesn't completely take the pain away, it does take away a lot of the pain. It allows me to function like a "normal" person although I really do have to watch what and how much I do. I cannot do things that I used to do, unfortunately but at least I can function. :) For this, I am thankful.
Avatar f tn Ok lets get to my question. My doctor has put me on celebrex, lyrica, gabopentin and tylenol 3. for the past two months she put me on percoset. I was supposed to take two a day but went up to 4 or 5 a day not just to releive the pain but for the feeling it gave me. I went into the hospital 2 weeks ago with pnemonia. I was released after 3 days. Thesecond day I was home I overdid it again with thepercoset. My husband went to bed and about 10 mins after that he heard a bang. I had passed out.

669241 tn?1236264344 I was taking both Lyrica and Ultram. I found that should I miss a dose of the Lyrica the pain was intensified and I didn't like the cognitive difficulty that it caused. I recently discontinued the Ultram after being on it for 3 yrs. Honestly, I am still achy and in pain, but I now see that the Ultram did little to begin with. I never had the dosage increased during the time I was taking it. Take care.

Avatar m tn Hi. I've been on these boards a long time. My last failed treatment had to fail because about 9 weeks into the treatment, I developed retinal hemmorhaging. My husband (we've divorced now, but not because of this). He had to do my shot that night into the back of the forearm because I felt so awful. As he prepared the medication, I had to keep correcting what he was doing.

712802 tn?1274645485 Hi, I take lyrica 225mg 2 x a day. I have been and still am where you are. I have had a few bad days where I was looking at that option. I was able to get help from here which was great. I have not talked to any of my Dr's about this due to problems I already have at work and did not want anything like this to help my work mess with me any more than they already are. I am on alot of different drugs so I can not say that it was the lyrica.
Avatar f tn From 2001 through 2008, doctors tried a nerve block, anti-epileptic medicines (Neurontin; Lyrica) and a variety of antidepressants. In July 2009, her pain doctor switched her from the methadone to Roxicodone, after attending a meeting that discussed the dangers of methadone-related overdose. The new medicine does not control the pain in its current strength.
Avatar n tn Emergency medical treatment should be summoned at the first possible indication of a Ritalin overdose, as a sense of urgency could mean the difference between life and death, in this type of an emergency situation. 7163794 tn?1457366813 In my n/a mtg I've met a woman (she was obviously loaded) and she says she takes lyrica. What is that...I thought it was non-narcotic but I have never seen someone behave like this. It was scary to see this, reminded me of where I didn't want to be for sure, but I'm not familiar with w/d off of this, so I don't really know what to tell her. I can pray for her, but she needs more than prayer. The "tics" are unreal???? Any info would be appreciated.

Avatar f tn So is my math right in that if I take 2 pills every 6 hours, 5200mg of Tylenol? He also prescribed me Lyrica 150mg but I am not getting any relief with that... I've had Vicodin 5-500 before, but prescribed by my Primary Care..seemed to work well other than having to take it so often + it also contained Tylenol. I am a bit frightened by the Darvocet, not to mention it is not as strong as Vicodin? I am only 25..I am not trying to kill my liver and kidneys.

Avatar f tn Hi and welcome From what you described, it does sound like fibromyalgia. The most important thing with fibro is sleep. Try to get a solid night of sleep every night. I take a benadryl and 3mg. of melatonin to help me sleep through the night. That one thing has really helped me. There are also exercises that help relive the muscle pain. A therapist could show you. Also, check out your local library for any books on fibro. Honestly, it is not wise for drs.
