Lyrica is the one medication that I know of that is made to help with the pain of Fibromyalgia. I am on Lyrica myself for Fibro and it has helped me but I must say that although it doesn't completely take the pain away, it does take away a lot of the pain. It allows me to function like a "normal" person although I really do have to watch what and how much I do. I cannot do things that I used to do, unfortunately but at least I can function. :) For this, I am thankful.

Ok lets get to my question. My doctor has put me on celebrex, lyrica, gabopentin and tylenol 3. for the past two months she put me on percoset. I was supposed to take two a day but went up to 4 or 5 a day not just to releive the pain but for the feeling it gave me. I went into the hospital 2 weeks ago with pnemonia. I was released after 3 days. Thesecond day I was home I overdid it again with thepercoset. My husband went to bed and about 10 mins after that he heard a bang. I had passed out.

I was diagnosed way to many years ago and i'm tired I had my last baby in 86 and have been suffering since 1990. I have been on every drug they can think up and its always the same eventually you get to a point when they stop working and you hit the wall. I was taking Phentermine but they took it off the market it helped with the fatigue. Now I take Dexidrine, allertec and Strattera to get me through the day Rivitril to keep me asleep, I take Narcotics for pain Ocycontin and Lyrica.

I take about 18 Lyrica a day. Please help me. I will die from overdose or severe depression. I have no one to talk to. My teenage daughters are suffering with me.

I have heard that Lyrica actually worse that Gabapentin for the weight gain. I have gained a bit on the gabapentin too, but my mother was on Lyric and gained 30 lbs. in a VERY short time. you might want to reconsider it. I donèt know if it is a body type and condition that causes the weight gain, but I have heard it alot from people on Lyrica. Just check it out Pat, and see what your Dr.

I was taking both Lyrica and Ultram. I found that should I miss a dose of the Lyrica the pain was intensified and I didn't like the cognitive difficulty that it caused. I recently discontinued the Ultram after being on it for 3 yrs. Honestly, I am still achy and in pain, but I now see that the Ultram did little to begin with. I never had the dosage increased during the time I was taking it. Take care.

hi everyone, my Neuro gave me some Lyrica to use for my pain in my legs, I took my first pill around noon today...75mg..he said to take it for a week..then go up to 150mg..two pills. well, not long after I took it, I felt horrible...like I was drunk or stoned or something strange...I didn't make sense.. felt horrible.. then I fell asleep on the couch for a few hours. I didn't even notice my legs..didn't care either..strange feeling....

Hi. I've been on these boards a long time. My last failed treatment had to fail because about 9 weeks into the treatment, I developed retinal hemmorhaging. My husband (we've divorced now, but not because of this). He had to do my shot that night into the back of the forearm because I felt so awful. As he prepared the medication, I had to keep correcting what he was doing.

Can someone give me either the symptoms or the timeline for an Ibuprofen overdose? And what's going to happen if I don't get treatment? I've taken approx. 40 200mg ibuprofen tablets, 32 hours ago.

Hi, I take lyrica 225mg 2 x a day. I have been and still am where you are. I have had a few bad days where I was looking at that option. I was able to get help from here which was great. I have not talked to any of my Dr's about this due to problems I already have at work and did not want anything like this to help my work mess with me any more than they already are. Hey guys, I was takin 40-50 pills of coricidin (the OTC cough med for people with high blood pressure), and cuz i couldnt get them one day I over dosed on xanax and ambien and lyrica. I take Lyrica for my fibromyalgia on a regular basis, was hospitalized and not detoxed medically was not given anything to help with the detox symptoms. Drank last night (10-30-10) 2 drinks and am a WRECK today (Halloween) going to a party tonight and taking my children trick or treating. I'm a mess.

Doctors also gave resperidone and a sleeping tablet for 2 weeks after treatment I was fine while I was using these tablets.

In my n/a mtg I've met a woman (she was obviously loaded) and she says she takes lyrica. What is that...I thought it was non-narcotic but I have never seen someone behave like this. Hi and welcome From what you described, it does sound like fibromyalgia. The most important thing with fibro is sleep. Try to get a solid night of sleep every night. I take a benadryl and 3mg. of melatonin to help me sleep through the night. That one thing has really helped me. There are also exercises that help relive the muscle pain. A therapist could show you. Also, check out your local library for any books on fibro. Honestly, it is not wise for drs.
