Lyrica killed it overnight. It has to be started lower
dose, then upped pretty significantly in the first three months, then maybe every few years. You might consider having them do another scan of your lower back... even an X-ray is better than nothing, probably a change has happened. Also, tightening your tummy muscles takes the strain off the low back, but not situps, rather just pull the stomach in tight for a few minutes, several times a day.
