Lyrica hydrocodone

Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica hydrocodone

lyrica

Avatar m tn ve been diagnosed with RSD and have been on Demerol, hydrocodone, oxycodone and Lyrica. After seeing what works and what doesn't, I am currently only taking the oxycodone(2-7.5 every 4-6 hrs) and Lyrica(3-75 mg a day). The side effects I'm experiencing are constipation and my libido is mia. I can deal with the constipation, but at 45 and married, the libido change has GOT to be corrected.
Avatar m tn I have fibromyalgia, tinnitus and neuropathy that my pain mgr. has been treating with lyrica, xanax and hydrocodone. The strength of hydrocodone has gone down over the past couple of years. No longer is there Lortab, or 10/500, so we're given 10/325. The brand version does help. The generics are crap. My worry is the source of the dizziness, which does seem to be the lyrica and neurontin, since those were the two things that changed when this dizziness all started.
Avatar f tn Any suggestions would be helpful. Due to a personal finance crash, I am coming off Hydrocodone, Cymbalta, Ultram, and Lyrica all at once. I'm tapering off but it's not feeling very good. I've been off Ultram for a couple of days. I've tapered from 90mg Cymbalta to 30Mg in approximately one week. I've dropped from 40mg of Hydrocodone a day to 20mg. I haven't had to reduce the Lyrica yet but I will soon.
Avatar f tn the only thing ive gotten any relief from has been the hydrocodone. lyrica has been offered, im just a little nervous about the side effects. but it is good to hear that it really does help with the pain. thanks for the suggestions.
Avatar f tn I have tried ammitryptilene, neurontin, lyrica and cymbalta but none of them has really helped. Does anyone have a suggestion about other treatments that have worked for them?
Avatar m tn I am going to retire and try to get off the hydrocodone and the lyrica. Then I pray that I can feel alright again. I have felt like crap for a yr. I don't understand why it has gone on so long. I haven't taken anything but the 2 hydrocodone and lyrica for a yr. The other meds should have been out of my system by now. Why does the anxiety and awful headaches with no energy continue?
Avatar f tn and im prescribed .5 klonopin 3 times a day for anxiety, and the lyrica for anxiety and the lyrica does help with the pain, it numbs it without the "high" feeling...i know everyones withdrawels are different, i think i can handle the physical part, its the mental part im more afraid of i think, like is it gonna make me feel dizzy, weird headed, anything like that? i dont know, ive never had to wd...
669241 tn?1236264344 I was taking both Lyrica and Ultram. I found that should I miss a dose of the Lyrica the pain was intensified and I didn't like the cognitive difficulty that it caused. I recently discontinued the Ultram after being on it for 3 yrs. Honestly, I am still achy and in pain, but I now see that the Ultram did little to begin with. I never had the dosage increased during the time I was taking it. Take care.
Avatar m tn I have had 4 back surgeries, so I have been forced to take hydrocodone for about 5 yrs. I was taking hydrocodone and lyrica prior to the specialist (not) changing me to the stronger drugs. I don't know what happened to my system, but I have not been the same. That was a year ago, so why am I still in such bad shape. I dread getting up in the mornings because I feel so bad and have to deal with something that happens to me where I feel like I can't stand being in my body.
Avatar m tn I am having a difficult time managing the pain which is severe and yet my primary care doctor prescribed a very small dose of hydrocodone (1 every 6 hours) which at least took the edge off the pain. The prescription is done and he tells me just to take Advil now. I am confused as to why a Dr. would be reluctant to prescribe pain medications for something as painful as this condition? Should I be seeing a specialist of some sort? I have been taking NSAIDS like candy and very little relief.
8487796 tn?1398343727 testing positive for hydrocodone. The doc says it has to be lortab or dilodid -which I am absolutely not taking either of! (I mean heck, I can't take the whole doses of what they give me most of the time) I'm taking taking Percocet, Opana ER, Lorzone, diazepam, Lyrica, & occasionally a Lidoderm patch. This same thing happened to me about a year & a half ago, at a different doc's office, using a different pharmacy at the time.... I don't understand. How can this be?

Avatar m tn I get urine drug tested every month when i go to get my prescriptions from a pain management clinic. I have tested positive for either Hydrocodone or Oxycontin the last 6 times I tested. I havent taken Hydrocodone in 5 years and Ive never taken Oxycontin. The dr doesnt believe me and Im probably gonna be released because of it. I cant make him believe me. Can anyone tell me if any of the following drugs can give a false positive for Hydrocodone or Oxycontin.

Avatar m tn It sounds like it could be the hydrocodone, or the Lyrica as Paxiled said. I'm curious to see how you feel making the slight adjustment to the hydrocodone. Logically, it's possible that the headaches are popping up at a time when your body thinks it needs more of the pain medicine. Sounds like you're taking it fairly frequently, but then you have the big gap in time between doses. That could definitely cause your issues.
Avatar n tn I am wanting to stop taking hydrocodone. I have been taking it on and off for about a year. I do have an injury thus the reason for the pain, but am tired of taking the pills, and fill like I need to increase in order to manage the pain. When I stop I feel the pain I am taking it for, and then on top of that I have major leg aches, and feel sick. What can I do to just get past these additional symptoms?
723959 tn?1314744225 I am prescribed to take 7.5/300 of hydrocodone 3 times a day. I have been on that dose since march. My fibimalgia has been really flared up latley and the medicine does not seem to work at all. Is it possible for my body to get use to it and the meds don't seem to work at all. So today i am going to my doc to see if they can change the dose. anyone got any advice on this?
Avatar f tn I take hydrocodone and can take up to six of these a day. I am concerned with becoming addicted and if using six pills a day is safe. Lately, my sister has noticed I have slurring of speech occasionally and use the wrong words in a sentence sometimes. Can hydrocodone use cause this? Thank you for any response.
Avatar f tn In the last month i started experiencing severe depression, insomnia, memory issues, mind fog and libido issues. My orthopedic specialist tried switching me to Lyrica for 3 months back in 2014 with horrible immediate side effects. Switched back to Gabapentin. I am asking if there is another neuropathic pain medication to use as an alternative to Gabapentin. I agree that the Gaba helps with nerve pain, however the side effects are scaring me.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure I'm in the right place but I've looked around for an hour and only found questions and answers about this from 2002. I'm looking for help for withdrawal from Hydrocodone. I don't want to stop taking it because it is controlling my pain but my husband will be retiring in April and we are loosing our health insurance. He will get Medicare but I am not eligible. We do have the VA as a health provider also since we are Veterans but the VA Dr.
Avatar f tn For the past 15 yrs for the most part my treatment has been manipulations and cortisone shots maybe 4-6 times a yr. along with Hydrocodone/APAP 10 mg/500mg 6 tabs daily and either Temazepam or Ambien at bedtime. Of course being that long of a time, the Hydrocodone works but I need more and more and then if I take more and run out the withdrawls are devastating to go thru.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lyrica for years...starting at 75mg, not 150. For me, it's used for fibromyalgia (nerve pain). I have never heard of it being used for anxiety. That's a new one on me. My doctor just started me on Klonopin. I'm to take my first pill tonight. I have also used Hydrocodone (not steadily) for a number of years. I've used the Lyrica and Hydrocodone together with no real side effects...just drowsiness.

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed and treated for my fibromyalgia by a pain management doctor several years ago, and then my primary care doctor continued that same treatment. My daughter was seen, diagnosed and treated by a Rheumatologist, and my mother was treated by a Rheumatologist. I went to a Rheumatologist for the first time today, I finally have insurance after 1 1/2 years without.
Avatar f tn I, like so many of you, started innocently by taking hydrocodone for chronic back pain. I have 1 bulging disc, 1 herniated disc, sciatica and degenerative arthiritis in my lower back. I have also been referred to a neurosurgeon for nerve impingement. :( I am 34 yeras old with a wonderfully blessed life, however Hydrocodone has ruled my life for 2 years now.
