Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica and endep

lyrica

Avatar f tn She is on multiple medications including Endep (has eased the headaches) tegretol, oxycontin, codeine forte. She has just ceased lyrica that had no effect and has been on prednisone for last 3 days but is now reducing off it. The day after taking the prednisone she was back to normal & painfree. The doctors won't keep her on it. Without it she is bedridden and in enormous pain.
1316053 tn?1279509497 I had a REALLY good sleep last night, and the only side effects I had in taking my first tablet last night were drowsiness (but not as bad as Endep and Lyrica), and slight nausea (which was bearable), and this morning, I feel more alert than normal. I have really high hopes that this will help me with anxiety and in turn, pain.
923105 tn?1341827649 )) Just got back from seeing my GP and he has prescribed me Lyrica and compression stockings!......and also Lutenyl to regulate my monthlys (as their every 2 weeks now so what the benefit of that is I have no idea!!......duh:) Does anyone have any experience with taking Lyrica (sp not sure) and the use of the tights for water retention?
Avatar f tn i stopped cold turkey from wellbutrin and celexa and was feeling ok for a few days then it hit me. i then went back to half dosage of each for 4 days, this made all symptoms of withdrawal go away. i then dropped my dose to 1/4 for 4 days, figuring this would hopefully make me have no withdrawal symptoms. not sure if i didn't step down for long enough or what but withdrawal is back though definitely not as severe. i have the vertigo which is awful. feeling dizzy, nauseous.
Avatar f tn They have no answers for me and just have to deal with with it. Have had facet injections and lyrica and endep but no good. Started doing simple excercises at gym like circuit 2 months ago which i felt helped slightly. My back feels ache and stiff fatigue. When im simply walking after a short distance my thoracic area is the main problem or thr highest part if lower back. Like fatigue. I get relief from laying lown. My pain sometimes goes to my lower part back.
Avatar f tn I am also really weird in my legs today, I woke up with my left hand really numb and was dropping things etc. and now my legs feel weird, I am assuming this is the Endep as well, I hope so but it feels neurological but the info pkt said some people experience numbness and to contact your Dr, well how do I know what is what? Hbananas: The thought of someone sleeping through a tornado has made me smile.
Avatar f tn Endep is an anti-depressant and I am a bit surprised that you are taking it for “severe allergies and angioedema." You are correct in assuming that at least some of your symptoms may be side effects of this drug. There are other, newer anti-depression drugs with fewer side effects and your doctor would be familiar with these. And there are more effective drugs for the treatment of allergies and angioedema.
Avatar f tn I finally met a really good DR from ER and she prescribed me with LYRICA 75mg twice a day and ENDEP 25mg once a day. it took a awhile to do it's thing, around 6 weeks but now after a good few months I am not in pain. before this I could not eat, sleep, walk, even talk. I was in extreme constant pain... Now I'm not. LYRICA is for the treatment of chronic pain and nerves. ENDEP is for depression and also pain. Don't give up. There are people that can help you.
Avatar m tn They can prescribe you lyrica and endep. Lyrica treats nerve pain which is what I had! endep treats pain as well as depression. Tell them you don't want babe doses. You want at least 75mg of lyrica twice a day. This helped me and saved my life because I was ready to end it!! It takes a while to get into your system but you just have to be patient and have faith it will help. I hope all goes well and you get some real help. Good luck mate.
329165 tn?1515471990 About a month ago I decided to destroy all my sleeping medication and Endep and after 3 days of not sleeping and feeling very happy about it! I went to the Doctor as I also had an over-active tummy and got diagnosed with having Bipolar Disorder and that was hyper-mania. I am now on 1200mg Valproate and took 25-75mg Seroquel but at some stage I felt really sleepy during the day and the Doctor stopped that, so now I was ordered to only take the Valproate. I still can not sleep at night.
Avatar n tn I either wake up with a sudden need to go to the toilet or have a sudden need to go to the toilet in the afternoon right before bed and that's when my sleep problems start. I sometimes have excessive urinating as well. I take one sleep tablet a night for one or two nights and then usually on the third night it doesn't work and I'm up all night. Then when I do get to sleep, I sleep way too much.
939031 tn?1289956654 He eventually tried drugs that target the brain, one was gaba???? (sorry lost the word in the middle of typing it lol) and endep, endep is an antidepressant but its also rx for people experiencing pain from phantom limb syndrome after an amputation. It took a while to find the right combination but today he's a new man, 3 months on the right combination and he's getting his life back, not totally pain free but he's still working out how much is too much to be doing.
Avatar n tn It depends on the meds, how you are feeling and how you react to them. I recently did a genetic test in Australia which cost about $300 and told me by my genetics how my body metabolises a whole bunch of different antidepressants. It worked in helping to rule out a whole bunch but also rule in some that I can use. Sadly I found this out the hard way after I had a bad reaction to an antidepressant Endep.
Avatar m tn At night when I have the pain, it can be intense for a matter of 10-20 seconds, then may go away for a few minutes. I went to my GP again and he decided to put me back onto Endep to see if that would resolve the problem again. I have now been on the endep for a couple of weeks but the pain is not subsiding most nights... I'd really appreciate any advice on what direction I should take... I have had my eyes tested this week and all is fine.
Avatar m tn This was an excellent choice, as it helps with my anxiety, I use less clonazepam and I feel less drowsy. Lyrica did give me blurred vision and extra paranoia at the start, and that was indeed awful for the first couple weeks as I upped my dosage! After the initial troubles, I found that it really was better than gabapentin for me now. I have not gained weight, but remain the same weight I call my meds weight. I just try to remain active and not pig out.
712802 tn?1274645485 Cymbalta has also had reports of causeing suicidal thoughts and on a molecular leval has a lot of simularities with lyrica so be catreful and stay in close contact with your doctor and us. I take lyrica 150Mg 3x per day and have never had that side effect but I keep a close watch. I also take an antidepresant called trazodone whitch is an older drug but one that is very easy to get along with. Best of luck and God bless.
Avatar m tn My Dr was going to prescribe me lyrica for shingles pain but I was hesitant and refused at the time. I did some research on it when I got home and actually found that lyrica is approved in eroupe for anxiety. I also read reviews of people taking it for other things and found that it helped with their anxiety. Glad to know it is working for you. What dosage are you on?Where your prescribed the lyrcia for anxiety or something else? Hope it continues to help you.
394774 tn?1235070839 You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.
Avatar n tn I am in the same position with my husband. He is taking Lyrica and we would like to try having our first child. I know this was two years ago, but did your husband end up going off the Lyrica before you conceived?
Avatar f tn Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.
483733 tn?1326798446 I am taking 300 mg of Lyrica a day. I am having heavy swelling in my hands, feet and ankles and doctor put me on Lasix. It is helping a bit but still uncomfortable and pain. I've put a lot of weight on and am also having bad memory problems (can't find my words) and blurry vision. Is there anything that can be done that doesn't require me to get off of Lyrica? it really helps my pain. If I have to get off of it what is the best way to do so?
