gabapentin, effexor, and carbemezepine. None of which worked. I am in an intense amount of pain and even have some difficulty walking. I spend most of my time now in bed. I am concerned with what may have even caused my b-12 to be low and whether I am suffering from an underlying condition as well that is also contributing to my chronic pain. Being on a college campus and far from home makes it difficult to receive proper treatment. Can someone please help me?

I also have pernicious anemia. I have the neuropathic pain and also am on Lyrica. No tremors just feels like pins and needles all of the time.

m curently taking a significant amount of pain medication for a facial neurological problem and i have ust been diagnosed with anemia. I am taking 300mg Lyrica, 200mg Tegretol, 50mg OxyContin and 30mg Valium...could this have caused the anemia?

Lyrica and Methotrxate did not help me for both RA and Fibro, but I know of some others that it has helped. Also there is a new drug approved for Fibro called Sevella, maybe you could try this. You should try Plaquenil and any other drug the doctors offer. It takes many trials of differnet drugs to find the right combination and correct cocktail that will work. Oh yea and ALOT of patiences. I have gone through several this year and still trying. Right now I am on Cellcept 1000mg 2X a day.

My symptoms are that I have pain that stays in my right arm and hurts on and off in different places on my body, and fatigue like I have no energy, and my heart feels like it's jumping. I feel like crying sometimes cause of the pain and feeling tired. I have been to many doctors and hear everything from fibromyalgia to hormonal. My current dr says it could be from sleep apnea (which I'm being treated for)), he just tested my vitd and b12 levels because they have been low in the past.

This was an excellent choice, as it helps with my anxiety, I use less clonazepam and I feel less drowsy. Lyrica did give me blurred vision and extra paranoia at the start, and that was indeed awful for the first couple weeks as I upped my dosage! After the initial troubles, I found that it really was better than gabapentin for me now. I have not gained weight, but remain the same weight I call my meds weight. I just try to remain active and not pig out.

Cymbalta has also had reports of causeing suicidal thoughts and on a molecular leval has a lot of simularities with lyrica so be catreful and stay in close contact with your doctor and us. I take lyrica 150Mg 3x per day and have never had that side effect but I keep a close watch. I also take an antidepresant called trazodone whitch is an older drug but one that is very easy to get along with. Best of luck and God bless.

I have also been treated by a hematologist for anemia. No matter how much iron I take and folic acid and vitamin D and B-12 shots my anemia doesn't get much better. I have PCOS. I just turned 40 and I have not been able to have children due to infertility. I lost 95 pounds but have gained 35 back due to getting pneumonia for several weeks and was put on prednisone. I have normal blood pressure. I take metformin for the PCOS.

My Dr was going to prescribe me lyrica for shingles pain but I was hesitant and refused at the time. I did some research on it when I got home and actually found that lyrica is approved in eroupe for anxiety. I also read reviews of people taking it for other things and found that it helped with their anxiety. Glad to know it is working for you. What dosage are you on?Where your prescribed the lyrcia for anxiety or something else? Hope it continues to help you.

You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.

I am in the same position with my husband. He is taking Lyrica and we would like to try having our first child. I know this was two years ago, but did your husband end up going off the Lyrica before you conceived?

Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.

I am taking 300 mg of Lyrica a day. I am having heavy swelling in my hands, feet and ankles and doctor put me on Lasix. It is helping a bit but still uncomfortable and pain. I've put a lot of weight on and am also having bad memory problems (can't find my words) and blurry vision. Is there anything that can be done that doesn't require me to get off of Lyrica? it really helps my pain. If I have to get off of it what is the best way to do so?

my question is the dr. prescribed lyrica for me and yesterday when i took it, i was feeling pretty weird and didn't really have the feeling of needing to take my methadone (35mg.), but i took it. Today i thought i might try not to take it. has anyone ever heard of lyrica for methadone withdrawel. it is very expensive at 300.00 a month, but i pay 420.00 month for the clininc. if anyone has heard is lyrica addciting?

I have been on lyrica for a while now. My doctor has increased the doseage and I am gaining weight in my stomach like crazy. Not sure what is going on with that, I don't want to gain any more weight than I am already carrying, which is alot. Next week I will be starting a heart healthy diet, my mom lives with me and has been seeing a cardiologist, so I figure that may help. If the diet doesn't help I may have to stop taking the lyrica.

Hi, I take 75mg when needed for RLS and neuropothy, and it lays me out! I mean, a full on sleep. I was prescribed 75mg twice a day, but just couldnt take it and even come close to functioning. I keep it around now to help with W/D's and use it when i get spastic pain in my feet. It works great for that. Im sorry, but I dont get w/d from Lyrica and cant really help you with kinda dose. Im a big guy too, 6'2" and 220 pounds and that stuff layes me out!

While I was undiagnosed, I was on Neurontin for a couple of months and then tried Lyrica. I do think Lyrica relieved more pain, but it did cause me more side effects and in the end, I was not happy with the balance of relief vs. complications. Lyrica made me feel more dizzy and confused. For example, I would take my dose, and within minutes I wouldn't remember if I had taken it yet or not. That made me uncomfortable.

What exactly are cymbalta and lyrica? Aren't they anti-depressants? How do they help with the pain? Do they help with chronic fatigue as well? I also started having breast milk without being pregnant. My pharmacist and Dr took me off of Lyrica and the ticks slowed down and the breast milk went away. Pain became intolerable so they switched me to Lamectal and I have started breast milk again and well as a little more of the ticks than I had without any of the meds. Anyone with any ideas? I need the meds but I don't want the lactation to hurt my body in the long run.

d had for years, it hurt so much it used to take me quite a while just to get out of bed, and for me, the day after I took my first Lyrica pill, I felt no pain and got out of bed easily! Let us know what happens, if you have time.
