re on Adderall, Wellbutrin, Propanolol, Librium and Luvox? Are the Librium and Propanolol the newest meds added on? How long have you been taking them, and the other drugs? What all exactly have you been diagnnosed with?
I'm a firm believer that in some cases, less is more. You're on some pretty heavy hitting meds, all together. That is a little worrisome to me. Who prescribes these? A psychiatrist? How old are you?
I forgot~I was diagnosed with OCD and tried Paxil, Prozac, Lexapro, Celexa, and Wellbutrin which were all unsuccessful. Luvox worked but I am ready to try and live life without it.
During all this I started a new job and I would lay in bed at night and have bad anxiety and panic attacks and I could not sleep . I stated taking .5 alprazolam and it helped for a little while then nothing. My dr. Started me on ambien and lunesta with little relief from either drug. The I started 100mg of trazadone with my .5 alprazolam. I started with a quarter of the trazadone .25 and quickly went all the way up to 200. And still it was a coin toss if I was going to sleep or not.
I took one 40mg pill of Latuda for six days and stopped and then about 40 hrs later took one 50mg pill of Luvox, and have been taking Luvox since then for a couple of days. I said, 26 hours at first but I counted wrong.
Should I have waited longer before taking Luvox? How long before the Latuda is out of my body? I took my last pill of Latuda Tuesday, July 3rd at maybe like 11:00pm and my first pill of Luvox Friday July, 6th, around 12:00am.
I went to my psychiatrist and explained the increased anxiety and agitation, and he increased the Wellbutrin to 300mgs daily and the Ativan .5mgs to 3x daily prn. Since this change, the anger and agitation has increased dramatically and I keep having fits of rage and feel as though people are constantly judging me negatively. This med change just happened a few days ago and my therapist suggested I wait it out another week, though I don't know if I can handle this anger much longer.
Also has anyone tried Luvox for OCD? I've been on Prozac and Zoloft and still mAnage to not be able to control scary thought. After I had my daughter they got real bad too.

Took Viagra no problem went back on klonopin and luvox and didnt need viagra. Had another case of performance anxiety two years later and my obsessions started again. Used Viagra and then no problem.Met my wife 6 months ago again performance anxiety, took cialis and it worked until I made a decision to try celexa for two weeks and I dont know if it was my anxiety or fear or did it really kill my sex drive. Viagra or Cialis didnt work. Went back on Luvox up to 150mg and Neurontin 300mg 2x a day.
Wellbutrin enhances dopamine and norepinehprine which can help with mood and attention, but sometimes actually increases anxiety. If you try Wellbutrin, start at a low dose and see how if affects you.
Hi doc.I am 21 and i see a shrink and take luvox 50 mg,abilify 10 mg and valproic acid 300 mg(orfiril is called in my country to calm me down).Since i was a child(7-8 years old) i always had this craving for sweets,chocolate,coke,candy and if my mother wouldn't give it to me i would start to get very angry and extremly frustrated, scream and throw things.Back then i wasn't depressed and didn't take any medication.
t realizing from your post, I think, is that your wife has already quit this drug -- she tapered off it probably at a slower and safer rate of speed than most doctors and psychiatrists would have done. But Luvox has the shortest half-life of any antidepressant out there, which means it leaves the body very very quickly. That makes it hard for the brain to adapt to operating normally again.
ve been on almost every antidepressant and off label medication known to man (and woman). My main diagnosis is generalized anxiety disorder, with depression being secondary. Generally, my depression is low level, like yours (Dysthymia), but there have been times in my life when I've experienced a major depressive episode. Anyway, I HAVE tried Abilify with Effexor XR. I had to stop taking it because it gave me restless leg syndrome. I couldn't sit still.
There is also Wellbutrin which could be worth a try although it is stimulating to a lot of people and Remeron. The wellbutrin and remeron won't kill your sex drive as much, but the withdrawal from remeron will probably be equally as severe as the ssris.
How much therapy have you actually done? You may need to keep looking for a therapist that will actually help. Some simply aren't as good. You also have to really force yourself to go and really try hard.
I have severe OCD and depression along with it and I use to take Effexor Xr about 3 years ago and it worked so well I got off of it thinking I would be fine. My OCD got even worse so last month my doctor prescribed my the generic brand of Effexor called venefalaxine 75 mg and it made me feel high so he lowered the dose and it still made me feel funny and he said generic brands can give ypu more side effects.
