lunesta works

It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.

i took 3 goodys pm and i have a 2mg lunesta....would it be a bad idea to take them together.

I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

After 4 weeks of Insomnia i had to get something for sleep , Ambien and it works for me , but without it i really cant sleep . So should i take it every evening ? And is that hard on us Hep C people ? 2. From first week of TX i have a slight numbness , only on the little finger edges of my hands and arms , anyone else have this ? 5 weeks of tx and really except for insomnia all is well .

Hi, how long have you been on the Zoloft and how much? Is it for anxiety? I have been on it for about 5 weeks, 25mg. I take it in the morning, even so sleeping is very difficult, if I do fall asleep I wake up every hour or so. I have heard this is common with Zoloft. My doctor told me to take Xanax to sleep, also tried Trazodone, Melatonin, and many over the counter - the only thing that works is the Xanax however I won't take this every night.

I want to taper off xanax. Would it be safe to take half a 1 mg. xanax with 2 mg Lunesta or would I then become dependent on the Lunesta also?

Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?

LUNESTA!!! Although i have not taken it since being prego ...if your DR ok'd ambien then Lunesta is ok as well. It works MUCH better...i hated Ambien.

My doctor offered me Lunesta, but I'm not excited about another pill. I haven't slept much for two weeks and wondered if it was worth a try. Melatonin and Benadryl haven't helped much.

Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.

Being that works on serotonin, Celexa works on serotonin and Provigil works on serotonin,dopamine, GABA etc. it seems to me your serotonin is being on the reuptake too much. Adding Wellbutrin which has norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitors would help you in two ways, one with pain and two with energy from dopamine. Taking the regular and not the XR form would allow you to sleep easier at night as the drug tapers down.

Recently, i have been on night duty every other week. I am having to use Lunesta to hep me sleep during the day but would rather use something more natural- I was thinking of melatonin- there seems to be conflicting reports about it's effect with autoimmune diseases. I have been stable for a few years- has anyone with Hashi's actually used it?

My doctor gave me Lunesta to sleep. I also tried Rozerem. Lunesta worked GREAT!!!!! The only side effect I had was strange taste in my mouth when it started to kick in. But I would fall asleep and STAY asleep for 7 to 8 hours. When I wake up, Im wide awke and feel rested. If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning.

I take 200 mg of lamictal, 10mg of abitlify, 150 mg of wellbrutrin, 3mg of lunesta, 1-3mg of lorazepam and 15mg of buspar.

I am taking lunesta and guess what. I am wide awake. It usually works for me but not tonight i guess.

I have some xanex that helps sometimes and I have tried melatonin but nothing is great at helping me. I do not like lunesta or ambien because of side effects. Oh well....just wondering about others out there and how you handle it. Being awake when everyone else is asleep in the house depresses me!

If so, I take generic Remeron 45 mg, the generic is called mirtazapine...I have been taking it for a couple of yrs and it works every time and I am highly resistant to meds, my body gets immune to them very fast!! Hope this helps...

I only used them at night to get to sleep.... I have been to see my Doc. and he gave me some Lunesta and wants me to try it in the next couple of days.... Just figure I will wait for another day or two.... I am still getting RLS but it isn't in my legs, it's in my ARMS!!!!!! Can anyone offer insite as to how to combat that one.... My arms will uncontrollably retract out to a straight position and then back to the fetal position.....

The only thing that works for me is ambein.

Just got back from the pdoc. He prescribed Pristiq 50 mgs. Says I "can" go as high as 400, but of course we are starting slow. Anyone have any reactions good or bad with this? He did tell me I won't feel anything probably 3-4 weeks, so I'm pretty anxious to get this started. I am also on xanax, seroquel, and he just prescribed Lunesta because I haven't been sleeping and have had no luck with ambien.

I was recently started on Lunesta 3mg and it works well. I have had some nights where i am wide awake and bushy tailed about 4 in the morning, but I took the Lunesta about 8pm. I'm thinking it was a little too early. I have found if I take it a little later about 930. I sleep through the night. And feel very refreshed in the morning.
