Hi, I am and 18 year old male and I have really bad insomnia. I was born with first degree hypospadias,I was on SSRI antidepressants for a few years. I went to a urologist about not being able to ejaculate a few years back, he asked a few questions, looked, and poked. Basically said it was psychological. I have only orgasmed once while having intercourse, and it was normal for a few seconds then I noticed that it was yellow, and this might be a little graphic but she said it tasted acidic....
I started having panic attacks/anxiety around a month ago after going 20 years without (I'm 47). My doctor (primary) put me on Citalopram (Celexa), and after 3 days I had to stop after suffering every side effect including horrible insomnia. It's been over 2 weeks since stopping the drug, and I still have insomnia. In fact, I feel like I've lost the ability to sleep. My body is tired, but I just can't transition to sleep.
d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.
Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
I used to take Ambien, and I had great results with it for a short time. But with all medications, it eventually lost it's effectiveness, and I switched to Lunesta. Lunesta was a good alternative for me. I never had nausea with either med., but I have experienced the daytime grogginess with both. It does go away after a while, as you become adjusted to it. Unfortunatly for me, sleep medications only work for a short time. I am a true insomniac, and nothing works for long.
I have been on 80 mg. Of oxy for a year now n quit cold turkey Friday night. I had no idea what I was in for. The muscle spasms , migriane followed by vomiting. Can't sleep so tried. Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife.
SSRI medicines are hard to manage when I have severe hyperactivity and inattentiveness with ADHD, yet the SSRI seems to help in other areas that I mentioned.
I have spoken to my psychiatrist about this a couple times, and he told me to try and time the doses between Dexedrine and Lexapro so I don't have too much Lexapro before trying to study, and try not to have too much Dexedrine close to bed.

St. Johns Wort is extremely dangerous with SSRI/SNRI's, as well with someone with BP. SAM-E has a warning on the label not to take it if you have bipolar and/or bipolar symptoms. These herbal and/or vitamin "supplements" are not regulated by the FDA.
Certain drugs could be responsible like metoclopramide, prednisone, effexor, an antidepressant, paxil, an SSRI, wellbutrin, an antidepressant, Zoloft an SSRI and dextroamphetamine, a CNS stimulant. Consult a neurologist soon who will evaluate you for these symptoms and investigate these appropriately.

Hi, I've taken 6 mg lunesta, 8 mg ativan, zzzquil (benadryl with 10% alcohol). I also take Luvox and desipramine daily. Any chance this is too much? Really want to sleep but insomnia.
Yes, my doc said it is ok to take the ambein every day. It is not supposed to be addicting. but I do think you get dependent on it. You think you are not going to sleep without it so you go ahead and take it every night. I tried lunesta but couldn't get past the taste. It stayed with me all night. I also take ambein . It helps with irritability.
