lunesta

Avatar n tn he did recommend a sleep study after a month of therapy. he also said i might have sleep apnea, but not obstructive sleep apnea...the other kind which effects your nervous system and ur not breathing enough. He recommended breathing techniques. I also notice right when i start to fall asleep i wake up suddenly freaking out. Ambien is the only thing that calms me down, but i feel weak all day though. Some days r better than others.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I started clonezepam for my sleep apnea, I twitch all the time in my leg/arm before I fall asleep and I seem to have slept well even without bipap once I felt this urge to write something and I started twitching like I had a seizure for a few minutes
Avatar n tn There are technical definitions of what constitutes complex apnea and mixed sleep apnea, but I was really just pointing out some cases are outside the standard OSA. I've read that many machines you would rent will not differentiate centrals, but that some give better indicators in the data than others. I wish I could be more specific, that would be a research project.
Avatar m tn My concern would be taking any sleep med without knowing why your sleep is problematic. For instance, if you would happen to have sleep apnea, sleep medications can not only camouflage it, but also worsen it. You've got the entire rest of your life to need good sleep. Becoming dependent on any med that warns to use only short term is a recipe for trouble. Besides dependence, many meds become less effective over time.
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
2021910 tn?1339896686 i ask my doctor wat i could take to make me sleep since im only get 3 hrs of sleep and she told me not to take sleeping pill. she recommended benadryl (not spelled right).
Avatar n tn Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.
18038250 tn?1462591719 Don't underestimate the value of a CPAP machine. Moderate to severe sleep apnea will contribute to some serious health issues -- just because you stay asleep or don't snore, doesn't mean you are getting good quality sleep. The first thing to be affected will be your cognition -- your job requires you to be alert. Also cardiac, metabolic , neuro and neuro psych ramifications stem from untreated apnea.
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
335728 tn?1331414412 ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.
Avatar f tn Snoring does often accompany sleep apnea, but just because you snore does not mean you have sleep apnea and vice versa. Minor sleep apnea is responsive to self-help remedies such as losing weight, eliminating the use of alcohol, tobacco, and sedatives; sleeping on your side, and regularizing your sleep hours. It would be best to see a sleep specialist for proper management and to ease your worries. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn But after a bed svt episode in december, i have been needing something stronger for my sleep anxiety. My doc also recommended me Lunesta but im too scared to try it, its 3mg. I think that might be a too high of a dose. Does anyone know what can help me sleep without anxiety? Has anyone else tried Lunesta for sleep anxiety. I have tried not sleeping with any med but end up staying up all night panicing even though i am super tired. Please help me get back to sleep so i can focus more on my life.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure about the seeing things, but your heart rate being up could be linked to why you feel scared. And it could possibly be sleep apnea. Waking up frequently may also be a sign of sleep apnea, though one does not have to do this in order to have it. A reason you may be waking up could be because your brain is realizing that you are not getting enough oxygen, and this causes you to wake up. Your heart rate being up could also be due to lack of oxygen.
Avatar m tn I am glad to see u know about sleep apnea, and I know how u feel...but outside of it not being sleep apnea it could also be the amount of oxygen that gets into ur blood stream..... Have u had a sleep study or one to see if u had enuff oxygen in the bloodstream? I did, and I do not have sleep apnea, and I have enuff oxygen in my blood stream.....but no restorative sleep!! U would think I ran a marathon or something the fatigue I have...

486038 tn?1300063367 HI, I don't sleep well either. My neuro gave me some lunesta. He said that if I don't get enough sleep, things will just get worse. For about the past yeat, I have been taking 2 Benedril before bed. I worked fairly well. Sweet Dreams!
Avatar f tn One of the main reasons I want to quit is I heard a doctor on a raido talk show talk about how sleep aids like Lunesta or Ambien are good for very very short term, but its not real sleep and your not getting the proper cycle and the proper rest period on them. May be the reason Im so tired all the time. Doc doesnt seem overly concerned with my using it or stopping it.
Avatar n tn I am trying to find a link to med given to me by the military that may have caused sleep apnea. a friend said he read that some of the shots given to us before we went to the persian gulf could cause sleep apnea.
Avatar n tn The Lexapro help greatly in the diminishing the GAD but I just could not exist with 45 minutes of sleep a night. I was taking Lunesta 3mg prior to the Lexapro for 1 1/2 years. With the Lexapro, the Lunesta was ineffective. The MD put me on 15mg of Remeron with the Lunesta and this really helped.
Avatar f tn A cocktail of 10 mg of belsomra and 1 mg of lunesta will allow you to sleep again. Should that not work then add 1 mg of lunesta. Finally, you can do 25mg of belsomra and 3 mg of lunesta... for those with lupis wgo can never sleep. One could also at this point aleep whenever tired; like during the day without drugs. But then youd likely be done for the day; vut you did without medicating for one say. At this point your body is severly messed up and you cant work: so anytime is good.
