To use very short term, possibly even skipping nights is ok. How many did he give you and for how long? Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?

I took lunesta myself, and it also gave me a horrible taste in my mouth, but that's one of the side effects of the lunesta. my husband took it b4 & he didnt have the bad taste, but i sure did! it was ughhh, but i fell asleep shortly after!!!

I immediately started to gain weight. And stopped the Seroquel immediately (mid Dec). I know this is one of the side effects. I gained about 5lbs. Being 5'9" and weighing 135, I felt the 5 extra pounds would come off with eating better and a few more yoga classes . But the weight kept coming. I got down to a dietary intake of about 1000 cals. But that mad no difference.

HI, Has anyone taken ambien and experienced side effects rom it? I seem to be having dreams, not bad, but strange. Sometimes they appear to be real even after I wake up. I have also heard of people having sleep walking while on it. If so, do you have any other suggestions? I could just take otc stuff, thats what i did before, but this was so much better and easier t take. thanks, meg ..who is having bad days lately !!

As soon as i took one i started feeling very strange. I am having very bad nausea, dry mouth, wired taste, headaches and dizziness. Can anyone tell me are these normal symptoms when taking topamax and how long are they going to last? I am only taking 25mg a day right now.

i never had the bad taste in my mouth though..i got that from lunesta taht is the most rancid i would ever get ever..a metallic hell in my mouth..

d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.

I had a TT for papillary carcinoma in 7/07. I had a 30% uptake in my thyroid scan and they gave me 21mCi I-131 to bring down the dose. I just received my second dose (220mCi) last week, and expected nominal side effects. I've felt terrible since then. Loss of taste, overall nausea, etc. Anyone else go through this? My docs didn't mention anything about side effects (besides the normal salivary glands swelling). How long should I expect to feel this way?

ve taken Cymbalta for Chronic Pain, and it did change my tastes. It either dulled them, or caused foods that I used to love to taste bad. However, it didn't cause a metallic taste, however.

I actually found that when I tried Lunesta (or had to switch to it from my normal Ambien because I was in the hospital and they only use Lunesta there) - that I had the same thing happen to me. As soon as I was able to go back to my normal Ambien, it stopped. I wonder if it's a side effect of the Lunesta... but maybe not since you said taking the Lunesta actually helped the situation for you.

if you are getting even a little natural sleep then your better off staying away from Lunesta....I will also add that one side effect experienced frequently...myself included....is a taste like sucking on a sock full of dirty pennies...eww!!!!

I know Benzodiazepine has a bad stomach side effect, and with Topamax, I was wondering if that would happen with taking this high of a dose.

I just attended a course on the triple treatment that includes Victrelis. The PA who ran the course said that I wasn't likely to develope any new side affect with Victrelis but that it is likely to intensify the side effects I am having with just the Interferon & Ribavirin. Do you all fing this to be mostly accurate?

ve got a good link (if I can find it) on what happens if you treat the seratonin side stronger then the norepinephrine side and the effects. Got a feeling that this may be what is going on with you. Did you always have trouble sleeping and anxiety - or did it get worse with the different meds?

I used a very small dose for a while and didn't have any bad effects, but it didn't really help all that much. Well, let me back up --- if I took a 5 mg dose, it helped me sleep, but I woke up so groggy, I couldn't navigate the next day, so I dropped back to 3 mg; wasn't quite as bad, but still left me groggy - maybe I wasn't getting enough hours of sleep, I don't know.

I noticed when I added the Geodon, I am not as hungry and food does not always taste as good. It has improved over the course of the year, but I have other more bothersome side effects from the Geodon. It has helped me in so many ways, I stay on it. Do you have any other side effects from the Geodon?

I have a feeling they don't want us to have bad side effects and tend to not 'hear' us. It was radiation blasted into our brains and we are lucky to alive. Its not like we would not have gotten it if they told us about likely side effects. So I think they need to pay attention to US! We live in our bodies, we are having the post gamma knife experiences.

The only side effect from Lunesta that I know is it leaves most people with a metallic taste in their mouth - especially noticeable when you drink water.

Cymbalta made me very nervous. Lyrica had no effects on me good or bad. Savella caused bad tachycardia and other bad effects. I am not having any good luck. I am going to a new rhuematologist next week to see if he can help. My current one tells me I have to deal with it. I wasn't sleeping much, but finally figured that out. I take 3mg Lunesta with 100mg of Meclizine and I can sleep through the night. Crazy I know, but it works.....
