Lunesta overdose medication

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta overdose medication

lunesta

Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Avatar m tn From what Ive been told, Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is one of the worst things you can take when it comes to your liver. Im pretty sure the Rx drugs Ambien and Lunesta are both easier on the liver. The only downside of course being they are quite habit-forming.
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. 611606 tn?1315517767 Yes I use a sleeping aid, but I dont use a morphine pump, I just use fentynal patches and oxycodone for pain, the sleeping medication my doctor gave me is Remeron, it works very well, its not an addictive sleeping aid and the bonus side effect is appetite so when your too nauseated or just dont want to eat, it aleviates that. The only problem is that Remeron makes me hungry at night, dont know why but thats the time i usually start getting an appetite.
Avatar n tn Doctors are prescribing this medication and the lunesta for months and years. If you do the research you will find out the companies state it should NEVER be used more than 10-days to 2 weeks at most. If you are having insomnia now wait till you have given up these meds for a few day and weeks. You feel horrible. I will never take another prescription sleep drug.
266660 tn?1189755834 I used to take my kpin before bed with some medication that makes you tired together. How does the lunesta work btw?
Avatar n tn I'm just guessing here, but isn't it in general a bad idea to give a person *instructions* on how to overdose on a particular medication? Bixby didn't say, "My doctor has me taking x mg of this medication. Could that be too close to toxicity levels?" Bixby asked how many mg of that medication, alone or in combination with another drug, would cause an OD. Am I alone on this? Doesn't this set off alarms for anyone else?!
Avatar f tn can taking methadone and percocet togeather cause overdose wich can lead to a stroke? If your addicted to percocet coming off of them can it make you really angry at anyone tring to help you get off them? can taking to much percocet mixed with methodone and xanix make you very disfunctional slured speech and come in and out while in a conversation and fall asleep all the time?
Avatar n tn What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?
Avatar f tn I also use white noise/pink noise, ear plugs, ear muffs and fan nothing. So my question is if this does not work can I get Lunesta without Insurance authorized needed or do you know of something that does work that does not need insurance ok and will knock me out?
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
2021910 tn?1339896686 so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?
Avatar f tn Definitely discuss this with your doctor, and tell him/her exactly what you took. Sometimes, the doctor can also give you a prescription for pain medication for your tooth while you wait to see the dentist. You need to be careful with combining medications as some contain other drugs (for example, Nyquil usually contains acetaminophen (tylenol). You can overdose without realizing it by taking tylenol and Nyquil together. Good luck and hopefully you can get your tooth taken care of sooner.
Avatar n tn I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.
Avatar f tn As of last week (maybe two weeks ago), I had reduced my Klonopin intake from 3 MG/day to 1.5 MG/day.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've taken 6 mg lunesta, 8 mg ativan, zzzquil (benadryl with 10% alcohol). I also take Luvox and desipramine daily. Any chance this is too much? Really want to sleep but insomnia.
Avatar n tn Can a baby overdose off of hydrocodone, oxycodone , or Roxycodone through breast milk if the mother takes the right dosage, or slightly more, only once a day and not everyday. If he breastfeeds while its in the mothers system, is sleepiness a sign of overdosing? If so, can l the overdose possibly death happen after the mother is no longer on medication?
Avatar m tn org/posts/Thyroid-Disorders/Do-you-feel-any-different-skipping-just-1-dose-on-the-Synthroid--I-ask-bcz/show/17885 You should never double up on medication when you miss doses, due to the risk of overdose. Since synthroid takes a long time (weeks) get into/out of your blood, you should be okay for this time, but if it happens again, don't try to make up missed doses; just start taking your med daily, like you normally would.
Avatar f tn The increased risks with larger doses are mainly related to the increased potential for maternal overdose and physical dependence that can occur in both the mother and the baby. Excessive doses can slow breathing in the mother, which may reduce oxygen delivery to the fetus. Reduced oxygen delivery to the fetus can result in a range of problems up to and including brain damage and fetal death.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know because I was recently prescribed this medication and I was curious. My medication didn't come with the sheet because I didn't get the full prescription yet I was given a few on an advance and will get the rest (probably with the write up) this week. Thank you for the answers they are very helpful.
Avatar m tn t know as much about what to do about the Lunesta, except to say that taking sleep medication for a long time usually gives you worse insomnia, not better, but I'm not as familiar with the withdrawal problems with it. Going on neurontin might help, but if your goal is to stop playing with GABA by getting off the Xanax, the neurontin will present the same problems over time -- it's shooting pure GABA into your brain.
Avatar n tn I'm sorry I'm late finding this post and I hope by now you've either started feeling better, or have sought medical attention. More than likely what you're experiencing (experienced) was a case of low blood sugar. As I'm sure you know, the Glyburide-Metformin helps to lower the blood sugar of someone who has diabetes. If you take it and don't have diabetes, it can cause an unsafe drop in your blood sugar.
