lunesta

Avatar f tn Hey Sandy is Lyrica better than Lunesta? I'm trying out the Lunesta but I get a metalic flavor after I take it and it doesn't go away till like mid day the next day...
Avatar n tn My doctor gave me Lunesta to sleep. I also tried Rozerem. Lunesta worked GREAT!!!!! The only side effect I had was strange taste in my mouth when it started to kick in. But I would fall asleep and STAY asleep for 7 to 8 hours. When I wake up, Im wide awke and feel rested. If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning.
Avatar m tn I have a very hard time staying asleep. I have been taking Nyquil at night and it has worked great keeping me asleep. I just don't think it is very good for me. Is Tyenol pm better to take? Is it bad to take that on a regular basis too?
Avatar m tn NyQuil has a new sleep aid out called Zzzzquill! That seems to work pretty good for me. It's liquid and is absorbed better, at least for me. You might try it! Try not to stress!
1444901 tn?1284749942 Get the Hylands Restful Legs,Immodium,Pepto,a good multi vitamin,Melatonin,Nyquil without the decongestant, protein drinks, and gatorade. The choice to do this HAS to be yours or it just won't work. So,get a mindset and get this done!!

Avatar m tn I finally went to my doctor and got a prescription for Lunesta. Worked like a charm. They are strong though, I cut them in half and they still worked great.
Avatar m tn Congratulations on day 11! Sleeping was an issue for me. Both before and after. I was taking lunesta. I stopped tho because it didn't help. Now I take a hot bath, drink my sleepy time tea, melatonin and valerian root. I don't take the valerian every night because I heard it can have wd symptoms too. I only slept 6 hours last night, but the night before I got 9 wonderful hours. Best sleep I've had in a while! It helps me to stay in a bedtime routine.
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
2021910 tn?1339896686 so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Avatar m tn valium is a safer benzo/still addicting but not as strong as xanax....there r safer sleep meds..ambien and lunesta altho i have heard of people abusing those as well...not physically addicting as a rule tho....valerian root and ambien is what i used...many like melatonin...then there is benadryl which is usually the ingrediend in otc sleep aids like tylenol pm....anything a person uses every night to sleep can become mentally habit forming tho..even nyquil!
Avatar f tn My sister gave my 5 month old Nyquil because she wouldn't stop crying! I am beyond pissed! I asked her why she was sleeping so much and she said because she kept her up but she threw up a little red stuff and then she admitted. I've been giving her water every chance she'll take it but she's been asleep for about 2 hrs. She's breathing and everything but are their any serious side affects to it?
Avatar f tn I really dislike getting sick on the weekend because I can't call the DR. Can I safely take nyquil? There is liver warning on back but that's also on tylenol. Hoping to get some help with sleeping and fight this cold. Liver stage 1-2 and not yet on triple treatment. I haven't taken any meds at all today, if that matters. Thanks everyone!
Avatar f tn Have you tried I think it was mucinex?
Avatar f tn Amjbien is not a benzodiazepine...and it is not physically addictive...kin to lunesta in chemical make up...neither r known to be physically addictive like narcotics or benzodiazepines. Lunesta and ambien are chemically similar to benzos but not the same/they r not classified as benzos Anything someone uses for sleep can be addictive,,often mentally only unless it is in a the narc, benzo, barbituate groups etc.
266660 tn?1189755834 Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar m tn Hahahaha!!!!!!! I'm off the pills over a year and I still don't sleep. I had 2.5 hours last night and that's about normal for me...I've been do lots of reading on addiction/recovery and sleep. I think it may honestly take as long to recover as the amount of time I used. I know this isn't positive information but it may be the truth. We have messed with the receptors of our brain and it will take time to heal. I also feel that using the Valerian root, Meletonian (sp?
