Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta no prescription medication

lunesta

Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
611606 tn?1315517767 How did I manage for over 20 years with this group, Only through my faith is all I can come up with..I no longer feel as though no one understands what my life is really like... So may God watch over and Bless each one of you and I thank you so much...
Avatar n tn Doctors are prescribing this medication and the lunesta for months and years. If you do the research you will find out the companies state it should NEVER be used more than 10-days to 2 weeks at most. If you are having insomnia now wait till you have given up these meds for a few day and weeks. You feel horrible. I will never take another prescription sleep drug.
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.
Avatar m tn From what Ive been told, Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is one of the worst things you can take when it comes to your liver. Im pretty sure the Rx drugs Ambien and Lunesta are both easier on the liver. The only downside of course being they are quite habit-forming.
Avatar n tn t feel comfortable with a drug choice, you have every right to ask for an alternative medication. Do you suffer from depression as well? Most doctors tend to avoid sleep meds, as they don't work long term, but can be effective in the short term, to get you back into a nortmal sleep pattern. There are other options out there. Do some research, and maybe find other alternatives.
Avatar f tn Rozerem can as well and since it was developed from Melatonin even though it is a prescription medication it actually adjusts the sleep cycle as well as promoting sleep. I would ask about those two instead.
696149 tn?1314320959 I've posted here before but I didn't get much of a response. I'll try and put it altogether as short as I can. Ok, I seemed to get blurred vision almost overnight. I think it probably took a couple weeks to a month. I started out trying to get new glasses and I went to 4 different Optometrists and got glasses at each of them. They said I was overcorrected with my old glasses. I'm 38 and I've no problem with these glasses until about 6 months ago.
335728 tn?1331414412 ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.
Avatar f tn You can discuss with him about the option of a short course of hormone therapy or some Non-benzodiazepine prescription drugs, including Ambien and Lunesta or some antidepressants such as mirtazapine, which have a sedative effect, and are prescribed off label to treat insomnia. However, I must mention that these are just the options that have been mentioned, and all medications must be taken under proper medical supervision. All these would surely help restore your sleep cycle. Take care.
Avatar n tn I only sleep, at best 2-3 hours per day, and always broken. I have had every test done and taken every medication available, with no results...but I have been this way since birth. I am a true insomniac. Good luck to you, and talk to your doctor about this, he is your best resource.
266660 tn?1189755834 I used to take my kpin before bed with some medication that makes you tired together. How does the lunesta work btw?
Avatar m tn Initially i was taking Xanax and lunesta at the same time with mixed results. So now, her NEW prescription is stated in the above subject line. and my question is, is this a safe a cocktail? how am i going to feel with taking the 15 mg. of remeron AT THE SAME TIME AS THE XANAX AND LUNESTA????? thanks for your time. i am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and i ALMOST there. i am just a little skeptical on taking this stuff on top of what i am taking. thanks again.
Avatar f tn There is no med that is recommended to be taken long-term for insomnia. That doesn't mean that might not be the only alternative for some people, but for most taking any drug because of sedation side effects will eventually probably stop working and lead to something called rebound insomnia, which means not solving the problem and relying on medication can make it worse in the long term.
Avatar f tn I have been off oxy now into day five they gavevme xanax for day n lunesta at night. The lunesta gave me 4 hrs. Of sleep. Should I be on this trying to get a year of oxy at 80 mg.
Avatar n tn I have a terrible sleep disorder and have tried numerous products to sleep @ night ie: Lunesta, Ambien, Ambien CR, Remeron, etc. The best thing I have found, and it's non addictive/no side effects , to take a benedryl 1/2 hr before I go to bed. Make sure to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep.
Avatar n tn My own opinion, for whatever it's worth, is that drugs for sleep are a bad idea. They are at best habit forming, at worst addictive, and wear off over time. I would always try natural remedies such as melatonin or homeopathy first or a sleep disorder clinic and therapy rather than get the bad sleep one gets on medication. A cure is better than medication, and if you can't find one, the medication will always be there as a last resort.
Avatar f tn Is this a prescription you are trying to fill by phone? If it's a med you've been taking, there's no reason to see the physician in person. Is there something in the medication that might harm you if you have covid? I can see, for example, that a doc might be wary of blood thinning meds, and there are a ton of supplements, foods, and drugs that have some effect on that, for someone with covid and its clotting action. Did you ask why?

Avatar n tn I never tried remeron, but ambien was horrible and so was resterol the taste of the lunesta that it leaves in your mouth is horrible so there is no easy answer but I did find the ativan did help for a while and I still take it with the lunesta and I agree if I get a good nights sleep the next day is much better.

My kids need me and I am incoherant and unble to work.... last night I didn't sleep after taking 3 ambium, valeran root and rx sleeptime,, finally, at about 6am I feel asleep after taking a lunesta (i know i shouldn't be mixing all this stuff) for about an hour.
