Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta no prescription

lunesta

Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
335728 tn?1331414412 ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.
Avatar f tn I have been off oxy now into day five they gavevme xanax for day n lunesta at night. The lunesta gave me 4 hrs. Of sleep. Should I be on this trying to get a year of oxy at 80 mg.
Avatar n tn I have a terrible sleep disorder and have tried numerous products to sleep @ night ie: Lunesta, Ambien, Ambien CR, Remeron, etc. The best thing I have found, and it's non addictive/no side effects , to take a benedryl 1/2 hr before I go to bed. Make sure to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep.
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. Avatar n tn I never tried remeron, but ambien was horrible and so was resterol the taste of the lunesta that it leaves in your mouth is horrible so there is no easy answer but I did find the ativan did help for a while and I still take it with the lunesta and I agree if I get a good nights sleep the next day is much better.
454795 tn?1205936319 What do I need to do to sleep more than two hours??? I am taking 6mg lunesta w/o any help. I cant be a zombie the next day either with my son and work responsabilities....Any help would be greatly appriciated...Your brother in HELL.
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
Avatar m tn I use to take benedryl, tyenol pm, melatonin, sleep aids, and vesicare (for I.C. that is suppose to make you sleepy also), to no avail. Lunesta has been a life saver, and hopefully when my Ts get straightened out I can come off of it too. Lunesta is more expensive, but your doctor can give you a discount card from Lunesta; my prescription was $50 before the discount, and $9 after.
Avatar n tn I have tried Lunesta and it worked for a year and I am now on Xanax which I seem to have to take more and more of to sleep. What can I do?
696149 tn?1314320959 I've posted here before but I didn't get much of a response. I'll try and put it altogether as short as I can. Ok, I seemed to get blurred vision almost overnight. I think it probably took a couple weeks to a month. I started out trying to get new glasses and I went to 4 different Optometrists and got glasses at each of them. They said I was overcorrected with my old glasses. I'm 38 and I've no problem with these glasses until about 6 months ago.
Avatar f tn You can discuss with him about the option of a short course of hormone therapy or some Non-benzodiazepine prescription drugs, including Ambien and Lunesta or some antidepressants such as mirtazapine, which have a sedative effect, and are prescribed off label to treat insomnia. However, I must mention that these are just the options that have been mentioned, and all medications must be taken under proper medical supervision. All these would surely help restore your sleep cycle. Take care.
Avatar f tn It has been that way for the last 30 plus years. In February I called my prescription in and the pharmacist called my back and said your doctor said no. I asked what he meant and he said he didn't know why and to call my doctor. I did and he said just that blunt, It's time for you to come off your nerve pills and go to something a little more long lasting. I said okay..He wanted me to take symbalta. I asked him why was he changing my medicine.
Avatar n tn It can be a side effect of Ritalin (methylphenidate), Adderall (dextro/levo-amphetamine) and Lunesta (eszopiclone) and other prescription drugs or of cocaine or amphetamines. (Accordingly, it goes by the slang term "coke bugs".) Formication can also be a withdrawal symptom of weaning oneself off cocaine or amphetamine. It can also accompany alcohol withdrawal in alcoholics, along with delirium tremens.
Avatar f tn This is only my opinion, so take as you may. I don't advocate for taking herbals along with prescription medications without first consulting your prescribing doctor. This could be very dangerous.
Avatar f tn d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.
Avatar n tn I take between 14-20 7,5 vicadene everyday for 10 yrs then take 9 mg of lunesta to sleep.
Avatar f tn Hopefully this will be the toughest time you face, the first week is often a write-off but you will have such a sense of achievement as soon as you start to feel better. Read Emily Post's journal for a long termer's tram detox experience. I found it so reassuring to not be alone with the crazy wdwal side effects & her recovery timetable has been similar to mine. The Thomas recipe is definitely worth it. I found DLPA particularly good for pain & nerves.
Avatar m tn Initially i was taking Xanax and lunesta at the same time with mixed results. So now, her NEW prescription is stated in the above subject line. and my question is, is this a safe a cocktail? how am i going to feel with taking the 15 mg. of remeron AT THE SAME TIME AS THE XANAX AND LUNESTA????? thanks for your time. i am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and i ALMOST there. i am just a little skeptical on taking this stuff on top of what i am taking. thanks again.
Avatar n tn If you let your doctor know that the Ambien is not working, there are other medications to try, such as Lunesta, and more. A true insomniac is incurable...I only sleep, at best 2-3 hours per day, and always broken. I have had every test done and taken every medication available, with no results...but I have been this way since birth. I am a true insomniac. Good luck to you, and talk to your doctor about this, he is your best resource.
Avatar m tn I was prescribed trazadone for sleep, but I did not like it. It made me feel drowsy, but couldn't sleep. I only took one 50mg pill, the prescription was to take 1 to 3 pills for sleep, so maybe if I took more it would have worked. I didn't like the way I felt so I never tried to take two. My doc told me it is a non addicting sleep aid that can boost my antidepressant. But, like I said, it was not good for me.
Avatar n tn That site and some others linked up here will give you clinically accurate advice from a consumer perspective to educate yourself and bring to your psychiatrist. Lunesta and Rozerem are good options for sleep, especially Rozerem which in working like melatonin can actually adjust the sleep cycle. However, if Effexor was prescribed as an anti-depressent let that get adjusted before trying additional sleep aids as untreated depression causes insomnia.
1000729 tn?1253365050 It's the start of Day8!!!! Been doing ok..... Just really hate the lack of ENERGY!!!!! I've been eating like a horse!!!! Mentally I'm just trying to put something in my body to give me some energy..... I know it's the malaise and it's just going to take time.... One good thing is that I went and picked up the Hyland's Restful Legs Product and it works for me!!!!
