I can't sleep was prescribed melatonin what is the maximum dosage I can take I am 16. 8 stone 12

when the doctor said 200 was the maximum he accepted that. He does seem to be doing well, but I am worried. what chance is there of his ever getting off of it, or at least onto a lower dose?
I was wondering how doctors could miss my symptoms as they were, Fatigued, swollen calves and fingers and face, mood swings, extreme dry skin on legs and middle of back and other areas, major brain fog and insomnia so bad that for three days and nights could not sleep at all and lunesta and ambien done zip 30 mg of lunesta and not even a nod off. I did get my doc to listen and he has me on levothyroxine 0.
Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.
My psychologist told me to ask my GP about Lunesta, and a family friend said to ask about Secobarbital. But if I am not mistaken, barbiturates aren't used anymore and Lunesta is in the same class as ambien so wouldn't lunesta cause me to do crazy things I don't remember?
Please help me find a sleeping medicine that will give me some relief.
However, it is common practice to increase medication dose to help control blood sugar (the maximum dose of metformin is about 2500 mg/day, in split doses). Some people do take their medication before eating. Please discuss changes in medication dosing with your md.

If you stop use of the Tylenol PM, it may take up to 2-4 weeks for you to adjust to falling asleep without the medication, but there should be no other problems. The current recommended maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen, commonly known as Tylenol, is 4000mg (4 grams) in a 24 hour period and one tablet of Tylenol PM contains 500mg of Acetaminophen and 25mg of Diphenhydramine. Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
Tylenol is unveiling new maximum dosage instructions for paracetamol or acetaminophen in the US. The new instructions state a maximum total daily of 3,000 mg versus the old maximum of 4,000 mg. Additionally, it states to take the over the counter dosage every 6 hours instead of every 4 to 6 hours. These new instructions seem to be specific to their over the counter products not prescription medications.
Is it 50mg? I am about to switch and wanted to make sure. I also know that 20mg is usually the maximum allowed for Lexapro, is 50mg the maximum for Pristiq?

I am having trouble finding out what is a safe maximum dosage of Diamox for psuedotumor cerebri. When I had asked my daughters neurologist this question, she said there is no maximum dosage which I found hard to believe that there wouldn't be a max dose on any medication.
My daughter is 15 yrs old and had been prescribed a total of 2500 mg per day divided into 3 doses.
Does anyone know the max dose for diamox?
