Lunesta is expensive

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta is expensive

lunesta

Avatar n tn I had an allergic reaction to ambien so I can not personally reccomend it. However I loved my lunesta, it worked very fast. Now, just like with pain pills when you take sleeping pills be prepared to go to sleep. They are aiding you not making you go to sleep. It is not anesthesia so don't expect it to work as such. I no longer can afford the lunesta I go to my local VA for my medications and they don't carry lunesta.
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

Avatar f tn To use very short term, possibly even skipping nights is ok. How many did he give you and for how long? Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
Avatar f tn ) good luck to you! It is all so worth it!
Avatar f tn With children (and consequently custody and support issues to be decided) if she goes into court unrepresented she will not do well. By the way, $2600 is not particularly expensive and if you consider what is at stake here it is a small price to pay to protect her interests.
Avatar f tn One of these things is causing me physical anxiety. I take Xanax maybe 2x a week, Lunesta 2x a week, and started Birth Control a couple weeks ago (Ortho Cyclean).
266660 tn?1189755834 ) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar f tn boy bondage I dont know I have not heard alot of negative things about lunesta . how close is it to ambien.....that's the one i have heard the most about ....i would ask you pharmacist for there opinion.
Avatar f tn My main problem was I would have no trouble going to sleep, I would sleep for maybe 3-4 hours, wake up and not be able to go back to sleep for another two hours, by then I would just get frustrated and stay up, although I would be tired all the time. Lunesta is expensive, My MD told me that the company offers a free copay up to 50.

702707 tn?1228703861 They do have an assistance program for suboxone but if you have any kind of insurance you don't qualify. I know it is expensive, but the reason you are taking it is to get your life back and for that, there should be no price limit.
Avatar m tn Yessss the not sleeping is awful!!! And it is really hard when you have to work the next day!!! I have found that melatonin works pretty well for me. I have ones that are 10 mg and I take one about a half hour before bed. I also found one called Sleep made by Hylands and that works pretty well too! Our bodies get used to them though so they are not so good to take every night! Ambien and Lunesta are called "Z Drugs" and are very similar to benzos.
1355301 tn?1287967641 I'm starting to think it is becoming a side effect of the lunesta. I am going to try to go a night without it and see what happens. I am afraid of the ambien because I am at home alone at night, (my husband works 3rd shift) and if I tried to cook or drive, there would be no one there to stop me.
Avatar m tn I have been on 80 mg. Of oxy for a year now n quit cold turkey Friday night. I had no idea what I was in for. The muscle spasms , migriane followed by vomiting. Can't sleep so tried. Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife.
Avatar n tn In the last 2-3 years it has become debilitating. I am at a point where sleep is impossible without medication. Napping is very rare. If I do manage to get to sleep, at night, ( never before 11:00 pm) I will wake up within 30-45min. and remain awake all night. I have read about Alpha Wave Intrusion and I would bet this is what I have. Unfortunately, most doctors have very little experience and education with complex sleep issues and resort to writing meds. I had a sleep study 6 years ago.
Avatar m tn I use to take benedryl, tyenol pm, melatonin, sleep aids, and vesicare (for I.C. that is suppose to make you sleepy also), to no avail. Lunesta has been a life saver, and hopefully when my Ts get straightened out I can come off of it too. Lunesta is more expensive, but your doctor can give you a discount card from Lunesta; my prescription was $50 before the discount, and $9 after.
