A friend gave me lunesta once i started hallucinating from insomnia. I never to it regularly. I would wait until I started feeling wacky from lack of sleep, then when I couldn't handle it, I would take one. It helped me sleep about 6hrs, but that was a lot after sleeping 7 hrs a weeks. My sleep is still messed up after 200 and something days, but I get two blocks of 3-4 hrs now, and am able to function.

It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?

When I was in Mexico I had an encounter with a stripper in which she rubber her bare genitals on mine. I do not believe there was any penetration. Since then I seem to have a burning sensation that builds up until I urinate. It doesn't get worse as I urinate - if anything it temporarily feels better. I basically feel as I need to go to the bathroom all the time. Also I had flu like symptoms 5 days after the encounter. Nausea, diarrea. I was sick twice and had diarrea most of the day.

I went to a doctor who did a brain MRI and found 2 white spots in the frontal lobe and two in the back ..in the white matter. Also went to the emergency room and my white blood count was sky high. My gait was neaver the same neither was my health..it all went south..

I am in mexico and my doctor is great... I had ivf icsi the clinic is well established. The person mhv is talking about is me.......

You might try taking a combination of Valerian and Melatonin when you stop the Lunesta. I was taking Lunesta in my early withdrawals and it did make me sleep, but that nasty taste was to much for me. I must say I haven't really slept really well since, but the herbs I mention do help somewhat, I take a hot bath before bed then I take them. From what I've heard Lunesta withdrawals are mainly mental, but you can get addicted to just about anything.

Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.

For the last fev days, ever since we are using humidifier I have a metallic taste in my mouth; the strongest is always in the morning; my husband just turn on house humidifier and I wonder if this is just coincident, or it does have something to do with the humidifier... furnice, and humidifier are working more during the night, that would explain, but is so strange... anybody has any idea?

I actually found that when I tried Lunesta (or had to switch to it from my normal Ambien because I was in the hospital and they only use Lunesta there) - that I had the same thing happen to me. As soon as I was able to go back to my normal Ambien, it stopped. I wonder if it's a side effect of the Lunesta... but maybe not since you said taking the Lunesta actually helped the situation for you.

My boyfriend, who is an American citizen, spends a large amount of time in Mexico with family. During this last visit, he became sick and went to the doctor to get checked out. After running the tests, they found that he has tuberculosis. Unfortunately, he and his family don't have the money to pursue treatment for him there in Mexico, and we both know that they won't let him back across the border with active TB. What on earth is he to do?

I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

I have been on 80 mg. Of oxy for a year now n quit cold turkey Friday night. I had no idea what I was in for. The muscle spasms , migriane followed by vomiting. Can't sleep so tried. Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife.

I'm having a slightly different problem. I'm exhausted by bedtime but when I sleep, I'm up after 4-5 hours. After that I just toss and turn in the bed all night. Then I end up having to take a 2-3 hour nap during the day. But even when I skip the nap, I still don't sleep well. I thought it was just because I worked 3rd shift for years but I don't know. I don't have any helpful suggestions though. Sorry.

I was allowed to take benedryl (sominex) up to 200 mg per night throughout TX. Now I am post TX and the insomnia has not yet left, so they prescribed Ambien and Lunesta for me (i grew allergic to something in the benedryl). They are all harmless to liver but the ambien & lunesta do cause dependence so I alternate them: Ambien for a couple nights, then lunesta (which does not work as well for me) for one night.
