Lunesta hypnotic

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta hypnotic

lunesta

Avatar f tn Well, it's common to suffer from insomnia when you are quitting alcohol or any downer. Exercising is a good start, because that should keep you focused on being healthy, feeling good, and eventually tire yourself out enough to fall asleep. But... natural cures are hit and miss. Some people swear by Melatonin or 5-HTP. I'd suggest that you ask your doctor for hypnotic sleeping pill(Lunesta instead of Ambien since it's much healthier and harder to abuse.
Avatar m tn I've taken ambien and lunesta. All sorts of problems with ambien including abuse. None of those issues with lunesta. It's still a hypnotic and anyone taking them should be educated about the drug and cautious about its use.
Avatar f tn ) If this is just another of the same in the meek and mild category for insomniacs as Ambien and Lunesta are, it will act like a placebo for me, and therefore please do not recommend it. Thus, the more I hear, the more I know, and the more I know, the less money I will be throwing away regarding having Rozerum filled for naught, in addition to anteing up big bucks to pay for it. Self-pay patients, a monthly (#30) day supply costs $135.00. Three years ago, Ambien cost $3.00 per pill.
Avatar f tn It may have benefit for individuals with stress caused by a number of factors. When used as a hypnotic, it does not appear to be associated with "hangover" effects, an advantage over many sedative-hypnotic drugs. Hence, I suggest you to consult physician for prescription. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn I would definetly quit taking the Ambien if you can because of all the nasty side effects of this class of drugs,or atleast change to another type hypnotic such as Lunesta or Sonata, they do the same job but without all of the sleep walking and stuff. You may or may not have experienced any of the things I have but I have woken up in places where I did not go to sleep in and that alone was enough for me,let alone the other things that I spoke of that happened to me.
323551 tn?1255174750 ambien nor lunesta are benzos...caution must be used especially on a medicaation used for sleep...sleep is priceless to many and psychological...and/or physical addiction is very easy to any sleep med that u depend on every night....i think the worst thing possible is for someone to depend on a true benzo for sleep tho...
Avatar m tn t fall asleep no matter what, I was taking ambion and now Im on lunesta. Just need to get back into my rem sleep. I work 9 hours a day 5 days a week, I run a retail business and it's very difficult to do all of this when I feel shaky-not like a parkinson you can see it, more like an internal core tremor and you would think that if I was so tired from the day I could go right to sleep, but I toss and turn all night until I have to get up the next day for work.
Avatar m tn Ambien is a hypnotic, but I have been addicted to it before... so I would suggest not taking it if you have a history of pill addictions. It is a nasty pill to get hooked on. Have you tried some extended release melatonin? I would give that a shot. Or goto any health food store and look for an herbal sleep aid. That is your safest route.
873758 tn?1239922590 I just had a hysterectomy march 24, 2009 and still recovering. I am still in a lot of pain. I went to my post-op appointment today and I am not recovering like I am supossed to (with three daughters it's hard) but I do rest while they are all in school. I am doing things I am not supposed to be doing so my doctor put me on bed rest for the next 2 weeks. I am already on prozac (depression), Lunesta (insomnia), klonopine (anxiety & sezuires)and Hormone pills.
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
2021910 tn?1339896686 so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Avatar f tn I have tried many other sleep meds including Ambien, Lunesta, Rozeram and other meds that are supposed to have sleep as a side effect (Celexa, Trazodone, Xanax, Elavil) but none are making me feel sleepy. I have also had horrible side effects from some including hallucinations, panic attack-like symptoms, nausea etc. which prevented me from trying higher doses. I came across Restoril while I was researching sleep medications.
2143641 tn?1396678143 post- hypnotic suggestion i studied it in college........
Avatar m tn I like Tamazepam much better than Ambien. I have been taking Tamazepam for 1 year. I took Ambien off and on for 10 years ....I was sleepwalking and doing all kinds of crazy things on Ambien anytime I used it for long term use. Both make me hungry. On Ambien, I would get up and eat in my sleep. At least with Tamazepam, I remember eating a snack before bed.
266660 tn?1189755834 Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar n tn I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife.
Avatar n tn can i take lunesta with a natural sleep aid that has melatonin, valerian root, passionflower, chamomile, hops extract and 5-HTP?
Avatar n tn i took 3 goodys pm and i have a 2mg lunesta....would it be a bad idea to take them together.
