Lunesta high

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta high

lunesta

I do t sleep much during my work week. My dr. Gave me some samples of lunesta. I tried it once and I slept 16 hours, it really helps. My question is I plan to take it on my first day off, so I can catch up on all my lost sleep. Is there a high chance of me becoming dependent on it if I take it this frequently.
1.25 is a bit high of a dose to jump, but doable. I found lunesta worked one night, then I had to wait a few nights to take it again. I rotated lunesta, melatonin, and St, John's Wart to keep my tolerance of any one down. Nothing seemed to help for days 5-14 or so, just had to read all night and stretch a lot. I never liked Soma, so no advice on that, accept use them sparingly. Your brain and body can only detox on subs stance at a time, so if you take nothing you will heal faster.
one thing led to another and I ended up with a full resection. I had taken up to 2.5mg of Xanax and 3 mg of Lunesta for 4 years, and these were pulled abruptly from me upon admission. In the hospital I had hallucinating dreams and insomnia -- also at the same time had 4 does of anthesia, plus IV pain drugs, then morphine, then percocet. My NEW APRN psych person says I didn't have anywithdrawal. Did I? I think I did.
Ive not had a narcoleptic symptom since stopping high dosing a very long time ago. However, I am still on the Lunesta. I take 3mg/night. Should I taper the Lunesta. My next refill could be filled at 2mg, and so on. Or would it be ok to just quit. I expect rebound insomnia. Ill take tylenol pm or benadryl and do my best. Ive heard its similar to a benzo (surprise) so I would like to avoid any type of benzo type w/drawal, which Ive never had but heard are horrendous.

I found this so counter-intuitive and so against everything I thought I knew about this disorder that I wanted to share it. High-Fiber Diet No Help for Diverticulosis By Charles Bankhead, Staff Writer, MedPage Today Published: January 23, 2012 Reviewed by Zalman S.
That's a long time to have high BP. And that's pretty high. But I don't know much about Fentanyl or its half life. I had two days of very high BP coming off hydrocodone similar to what you are experiencing. I didn't take anything. It came down on its own. Being upset won't help it. I know that's easier said than done. I would definitely see a doctor now. You need to get it down. I found this on rxlist.com re clonidine. Don't know if this could be the reason or not.
The MD put me on 15mg of Remeron with the Lunesta and this really helped. In an attempt to ward off tolerance to Lunesta, I now alternate ( 2 weeks at a time) between Lunesta 3mg and zolpiedem ( Ambien) Since the zolpiedem has a much shorter 1/2 life than the Lunesta, I take 5mg about 11:30 and another 5mg at 3:00 or whenever I awake. The Lunesta usually allows for 6-7 hours of continuous sleep.
WHEN PREPARING TO GO TO BED, I TAKE A SLEEPING PILL-LUNESTA AND ZANAX AND A HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE PILL,BUT LAY THERE WITH MIND STILL AWAKE FOR ATLEAST 2 HOURS. I TAKE WELLBUTRIN IN THE MORNING. DOES THE STRENGTH OGF THE WELLBUTRIN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT? 300mg?
But it seems logical if I wake up remembering dreaming all night long and feeling like I haven't slept a bit. I am taking lunesta which has helped but I don't like being dependent on a sleep med.
I started taking Lexapro three weeks ago with Lunesta for sleep. I think the Lexapro gave me more insomina. I was having the same problem about not being able to sleep or just getting very little restful sleep. My sleep tho has improved somewhat with the Lunesta. I can get up to 6 hours of sleep with the Lunesta which is better than the 2 or 3 hours. Hopefully once the Lexapro kicks in I will not need the extra aid for sleep. Thats my hope any way..
I am having to take sleeping pills to sleep. I tried Ambien, Ambien CR, Lunesta, and amitriptyline. Each medicine would only let me sleep for four hours a night. So I am taking the Lunesta right now. But it is very hard functioning during the day as I am very fatigued. My body previously was use to getting 8 hours of sleep a day. Do you know of any other medicines that would help with longer sleep? How long does it usually take for the sleep to return on its own?

i HAVE BEEN TAKING TRAZADONE AND LUNESTA FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT. I CAN NO LONGER AFFORD TO DOCTOR APPTS AND/OR PRESCRIPTIONS SO I HAVE STOPPED COLD TURKEY ABOUT 4 NIGHTS AGO. I AM MISERABLE!! I SLEEP FOR AN HOUR OR TWO AND THEN WAKE UP FOR AN HOUR OR TWO. I DO HAVE ONE PRESCRIPTION OF LUNESTA LEFT AT THE PHARMACY. SHOULD I GO PICK IT UP AND TRY TO TAPER OFF OR AM I JUST ABOUT OVER THE WORST OF IT.
I was wondering how doctors could miss my symptoms as they were, Fatigued, swollen calves and fingers and face, mood swings, extreme dry skin on legs and middle of back and other areas, major brain fog and insomnia so bad that for three days and nights could not sleep at all and lunesta and ambien done zip 30 mg of lunesta and not even a nod off. And weight loss lg number then weight gain also high protein in blood count I did get my doc to listen and he has me on levothyroxine 0.

My doc prescribed Lunesta for my sleep problems. Are any of you guys using Lunesta? Does that damn butterfly cruise around you bedroom all night?
I know I've seen a lot of ppl writing about Lunesta having a funny/bad taste. I've been taking the Lunesta for over 3 months now, everynight, and I have never experienced a bad taste. I was just having trouble staying asleep since I had my back surgery. I think it works wonderfully at fixing my problem, but I will say I have experienced a couple of the "not likely, but possible" side effects from it.
But I've been taking a lot of ambien and lunesta that I had, sometimes enough to get high. SO they arn't my drug of choice but Im still technically using right? Its just really hard for me to C/T EVERYTHING. I don't know what to do. My boyfriend thinks I'm doing good just because I threw all the percs out. I feel so guilty...again. Also I don't know how to stop taking the sleeping pills, expecially the lunesta. The ambien tends to give me double vision when I take too much. What to do?
Just got back from the pdoc. He prescribed Pristiq 50 mgs. Says I "can" go as high as 400, but of course we are starting slow. Anyone have any reactions good or bad with this? He did tell me I won't feel anything probably 3-4 weeks, so I'm pretty anxious to get this started. I am also on xanax, seroquel, and he just prescribed Lunesta because I haven't been sleeping and have had no luck with ambien.
So that's what I'm going to try. I'll get my TSH retested in 2 months and if my TSH is too high, then back to 150 mcgs full time. Maybe now I can find out if the insomnia I've been suffering thru the last 5 months is from the thyroid meds or from being in menopause. Although this weekend I got back together with my old boyfriend and let's just put it this way....that was the best night sleep I had in a loooooooooooong time (with out the help of Lunesta) !!!!
For things such as heart health, checking your cholesterol and if it is high, using a statin such as Lipitor. Of course, a healthy diet and exercise are important as well. For osteoporosis, getting a bone density and taking calcium and exercising are very important. For colon cancer screening, get a colonoscopy. For vaginal dryness, using an over the counter product called Replens moisturizes without using any hormones.
