lunesta

620048 tn?1358018235 -) I tried it - the ambien, not the unconcious s ex and it left me feeling like I had a hangover. I went back to Lunesta, which leaves a metallic taste in the mouth but not the hangover.
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Avatar m tn Hi well im familier with lenesta was on it for over a year the only withdrawal I had was some mild anxzity and not being able to sleep for quit some time your body clock needs to reset itself I had insomnia for over a month it takes so time but you will be able to sleep I did find a really good tea that I still use it is called ''Traditional medicinals nighty night'' you can get it at walmart it with the other tea's im bipolar so insomnia is one of the symptoms...
Avatar m tn for sleep for a long time, but I dont like being on it because it really is powerful like being hit with a jackhammer and is hard to shake off the next day. It has a hangover effect. But it is the only thing that has worked for me with my sleep problems thus i have stayed on it. Also the side effects of weight gain and some other negative side effects are the reason I would love to get off of it. If anyone knows of any medications instead of seroquel that might work.....
Avatar m tn My doc prescribed Lunesta and I took that for the first time last night - slept for only 2 hours and woke in a hot sweat. That was it for the night. It seems that my stomach pains may be stress-related and that this may be the reason I'm waking up and can't get back to sleep. I'm having a difficult time making it through the day due to lack of sleep. Also feeling kind of foggy from the meds. Never had sleep issues before my trip.
Avatar f tn Hi, welcome to the forum, the drug herbal interaction between the valerian and prozac is not been well known or studied. There can be more sedation due to this combination. As for herbal drugs, Valerian has a long history of use as a sedative and anxiolytic. It is one of the most popular herbal preparations in Europe. It has also been reported that valerian improves sleep quality. It may have benefit for individuals with stress caused by a number of factors.
492921 tn?1321289896 This means that when the sun starts coming up your body automatically starts flushing it out so no hangover or grogginess. It comes in different strengths and you can start off with a small amount and increase as needed. AFter taking it for awhile I didn't need it anymore. And becuase it's natural it's non-addictive. I never even finished out my first script of ambian because it wasn't doing me any good.
266660 tn?1189755834 Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
1305767 tn?1361192676 I have tried everything from Melatonin to over-the-counter sleep aids to Ambien and Lunesta. The only thing that has ever helped me stay asleep is Trazodone. It is commonly used for people like us, but it does have a big of a "hangover" effect the next day. The plus side is that even though you may be tired from the pill the next day, your body is at least recharged and as the day goes on you feel less tired.
Avatar m tn I'm seeing a doctor for a 10 year sleep problem. He swears by magnesium....loading me up on it to the eyeballs. So far, I haven't taken enough to get there, but it IS getting better, at least on most nights, I think. I do think the l-theanine amino acid is also a terrific natural sleep aid. I've heard about it all over the place and have seen many posts about it over the past year or so. As far as the ambien, ambien CR, lunesta, sonata, etc., don't even try them.
Avatar n tn I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.
Avatar m tn I have been on 80 mg. Of oxy for a year now n quit cold turkey Friday night. I had no idea what I was in for. The muscle spasms , migriane followed by vomiting. Can't sleep so tried. Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife.
Avatar n tn can i take lunesta with a natural sleep aid that has melatonin, valerian root, passionflower, chamomile, hops extract and 5-HTP?
Avatar n tn i took 3 goodys pm and i have a 2mg lunesta....would it be a bad idea to take them together.
572651 tn?1530999357 The mfg of Lunesta will send you a discount card that will pay your copay on insurance, up to $50 per month ($600 per year) if you use their sleep medicine. I figure this is information worth sharing with you ..... http://www.lunesta.com/dreamkit/lunesta-savings.html?
Avatar m tn Without med, I get to sleep[ just fine, then wake up 3-4 hours later and am up for hours. Temazapan guarantees me an 8 hour sleep, without hangover. My limited experience with Ambien was, as others have said, not enduring. Its good for getting asleep (which I have no problem with) but doesn't sustain (which is what I need). BUT I am very cautious about the addictive element of T, and my doc and I agreed only twice a week, and hopefully stop after about 4 weeks.
1102799 tn?1269237714 LUNESTA!!! Although i have not taken it since being prego ...if your DR ok'd ambien then Lunesta is ok as well. It works MUCH better...i hated Ambien.
