Lunesta get you high

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta get you high

lunesta

Avatar f tn You might try taking a combination of Valerian and Melatonin when you stop the Lunesta. I was taking Lunesta in my early withdrawals and it did make me sleep, but that nasty taste was to much for me. I must say I haven't really slept really well since, but the herbs I mention do help somewhat, I take a hot bath before bed then I take them. From what I've heard Lunesta withdrawals are mainly mental, but you can get addicted to just about anything.
486038 tn?1300063367 HI, I don't sleep well either. My neuro gave me some lunesta. He said that if I don't get enough sleep, things will just get worse. For about the past yeat, I have been taking 2 Benedril before bed. I worked fairly well. Sweet Dreams!
2021910 tn?1339896686 It's safe. If it wasn't they wouldn't give it to you. And chances are they consulted with your Dr before giving it to you. They've given it to me before with a previous pregnancy and my kid is alive and healthy!!!
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Avatar n tn Doctors are prescribing this medication and the lunesta for months and years. If you do the research you will find out the companies state it should NEVER be used more than 10-days to 2 weeks at most. If you are having insomnia now wait till you have given up these meds for a few day and weeks. You feel horrible. I will never take another prescription sleep drug.
Avatar m tn I think the biggest side effect that you might have will be insomnia. I used to take Lunesta and when I stopped I didn't sleep for a week. On a positive note,,,COngrats on 20days!!!
1355301 tn?1287967641 I can understand why you're leary about trying the Ambien - I've never had any trouble with it, but of course, everyone is different and how a medication affects one person may or may not be how it affects someone else. I would suggest if you do decide at some point to give the Ambien a try, definitely try it on a night when your husband is not working, just on teh off chance that you do have a "reaction" to it. What dose of teh Lunesta are you currently taking?
Avatar f tn You may not have experienced all the withdrawal symptoms they look for because of the additional drugs they gave you... maybe....
Avatar f tn I've been having trouble with sleep (all started with my first pregnancy 4 1/2 years ago). I have two young boys now & the sleep loss accumulation is really starting to interfere with everything everyday. I'm determined to get to the bottom of it all & get back to my normal sleep patterns without having to take meds for it.
526311 tn?1229286330 it sounds like you are already taking too much of both the Lunesta and Ambien..(why both) are you taking so much of them to try and get high??I understand how hard it is to get some sleep during and after w/ds..but in this case..the old saying..if 1 is good...2 is better...NOT SO..You are going to end up with a dependancy on sleep meds and possibly harm yourself..please be careful..
Avatar n tn I am having to take sleeping pills to sleep. I tried Ambien, Ambien CR, Lunesta, and amitriptyline. Each medicine would only let me sleep for four hours a night. So I am taking the Lunesta right now. But it is very hard functioning during the day as I am very fatigued. My body previously was use to getting 8 hours of sleep a day. Do you know of any other medicines that would help with longer sleep? How long does it usually take for the sleep to return on its own?

Avatar m tn 1.25 is a bit high of a dose to jump, but doable. I found lunesta worked one night, then I had to wait a few nights to take it again. I rotated lunesta, melatonin, and St, John's Wart to keep my tolerance of any one down. Nothing seemed to help for days 5-14 or so, just had to read all night and stretch a lot. I never liked Soma, so no advice on that, accept use them sparingly. Your brain and body can only detox on subs stance at a time, so if you take nothing you will heal faster.
Avatar n tn I was just like you, and the only thing that helped me sleep was amitriptyline. It's an antidepressant as well, but I was on a very small dose just for sleep along with the fluoxetine I take during the day. I've gotten to the point now that I don't need anything to sleep, which is great. Amitriptyline isn't addicting, which was my biggest worry when my doctor and I tried to figure out what I should take.
1617404 tn?1298678182 ALSO MY WBC IS 11.2 HIGH, MY NEUTROPHILSIS 77 HIGH, MY NEUTROPILS (ABSOLUTUTE) IS 8.5 HIGH AND LAST MY METABOLIC PANEL (14) GLUCCOSE, SERUM IS 115 HIGH ,THE BUN IS 5 LOW ALONG WITH 3 OTHER ONES THAT ARE LOW ! Avatar n tn I have heard that Lunesta is more gentle but My doc prescribed me 3mg of Lunesta. Do you think that is too much? Can i cut the pills in half. I am a tiny person and my doc knows that. I dont know why she would give me the highest dose? I have a phobia of taking pills.
Avatar f tn A cocktail of 10 mg of belsomra and 1 mg of lunesta will allow you to sleep again. Should that not work then add 1 mg of lunesta. Finally, you can do 25mg of belsomra and 3 mg of lunesta... for those with lupis wgo can never sleep. One could also at this point aleep whenever tired; like during the day without drugs. But then youd likely be done for the day; vut you did without medicating for one say. At this point your body is severly messed up and you cant work: so anytime is good.
266660 tn?1189755834 Did you talk with your doctor about taking the two together, like a half hour before bed? I used to take my kpin before bed with some medication that makes you tired together. How does the lunesta work btw?
Avatar m tn I would talk to the doc if I were you. You don't want to get into another addictive drug. Once thing the doctor can prescribe is clonidine which will ease the withdrawal a bit.
Avatar f tn t say if this is prescribed or you did this on your own. if this is prescribed, by what process did you end up with this much medication at such high doses? How long has this been going on?
506273 tn?1260138781 But 400 mg is an extremely high dose. The normal dose is 50 mg, but you could possibly increase it to 100 mg IF it hasn't helped you at all after a month. I would sincerely wonder about a doctor that would say that you could go up to 400 mg! I wouldn't be worried about taking it. But everyone is different with medications. Just give it a good try. I always take it with food and sometimes my stomach will feel a bit nauseated which could be from the many other meds that I take.
Avatar m tn You could be opening a huge can of worms w/ ambien. Will 2 hurt you? No. If you like ambien, you could be at risk trading one addiction for the other. Yes, if you haven't tried melatonin, do it. I take it. Seems to work. But, the biggest thing is that sleep will come back. It's just takes a while. By, 25 days you should be getting SOME sleep, 4 hours a night I would think. Make sure you are drinking no caffeine at all during this!
Avatar n tn Yes, my doc said it is ok to take the ambein every day. It is not supposed to be addicting. but I do think you get dependent on it. You think you are not going to sleep without it so you go ahead and take it every night. I tried lunesta but couldn't get past the taste. It stayed with me all night. I also take ambein . It helps with irritability.
