168006 tn?1241012961 I was just curious if there is any problem with taking a newborn on a plane due to the pressure in the ears and all. Does anyone know? If so, at what age is air travel considered safe?
Avatar m tn The pressure can cause an elevated risk, so if she can avoid plane rides, it might be better. The high elevation would increase blood pressure, which you wouldn't want.
Avatar f tn We went 3 yrs ago. I live in tn. A long drive but worth it! We were a family of 4 then. I was 7 mo. Pregnant so I didn't ride the rides buy my kiss & husband had a blast. If I remember correctly I bought 4 tickets for all the parks & the 2 waterparks for $800. Which really isn't bad cause every park we went to wad amazing icluding both waterparks. They were awesome! We ate breakfast @ the hotel before going, are a light lunch while in the park & ate dinner once we left.
2194148 tn?1397323475 phobias, heights, plane rides, etc. Now, it seems, as I am getting older, everything I do I become afraid of! I used to have a timeshare on a houseboat, but now I am afraid to go on a boat for fear that it will blow up or in the ocean, we will go down a whirlpool, or there will be a giant wave. I am afraid to be a passenger on ANYTHING, to the point that I just won't go places if I can't drive. I think this is that I have to control everything, but I'm not sure.
Avatar f tn told that good cause blood clots Deep leg thrombosis can happen driving in car or plane rides over a period of time if cerain precautions are not taken.
Avatar f tn Here's another note from another old person (lol). I too have various arrhythmias (PAC's. PVC's, atrial tachycardia). I've had them for as long as I can remember. Yes, that makes it easy for me to accept and live with them. Putting that aside, I think I've lived a pretty full and active life in spite of these goofy rhythms.
Avatar f tn They are different plane rides away. Located in every time zone. But your right, I could go live with my parents and try coping with my alcoholic father. I would also have to switch doctors at 31 weeks and move 19 hours away from my husband, who would then miss the birth of our first child. Not to mention I would have to give birth in a hospital and risk unwanted intervention instead of the birth center which is providing me with a natural birth.
Avatar m tn I am on day 20 clean from pain pills i have been on Lunesta 3mg sleeping pill for 2 years will i have withdrawlls if i stop with such a low 3 mg every 24 hours
Avatar f tn To use very short term, possibly even skipping nights is ok. How many did he give you and for how long? Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
2021910 tn?1339896686 so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?
Avatar n tn My doctor said to drop my Xanax to half a pill (which would be .50 mg) for 3 nights (and take 1 mg Lunesta) then move to a .25mg Xanax for 3 nights, then break those in half for .125 mg for 3 days. Then, I'm supposed to continue Lunesta for a while- or forever I guess, if I still have trouble falling asleep. That's my withdrawl plan- maybe you can modify it to work for you. Don't quit cold turkey- I have a friend who did that and things got very ugly for her.
Avatar f tn A few days ago.. I dreamt I was pregnant with a little mouse and gave birth through my ear..
Avatar f tn So I will be I'm flordia for 2 weeks and all we do it go to parks and I'm not sure if I can go on. Small rides. I know I can't go on the roller coasters.
1330108 tn?1333677304 They always had them right before we reached our destination for the day! Our next big conquering trip will be on a plane...but who knows when that will be.
Avatar n tn That's quite a trip for her and a big change. Assuming she can handle a long plane trip with a-fib, perhaps an all adult home would be nicer for her. Before she travels get a clearance from her doctor. A-fib can cause clots and sitting in a plane (or train or car) could be risky as well. The other option that no one likes to think about is assisted living. I have plenty of older friends that live in assisted living and they enjoy it.
9121436 tn?1407979502 They had the fair here (bunch of rides) they wouldn't even let me on the kiddie rides or one that just went around.
Avatar n tn Hi All, I am a 17 year old female trying to figure out what exactly the problem is. A little less than two years ago I went on a carnival ride that spins around, twists and turns etc. and I have mild motion sickness, but nothing serious. When I got off the ride I began to get very intense cramping in my hands, legs, eventually my stomach and entire body. My muscles locked in my hands especially.
Avatar n tn t remember the dosage), 2mg Ativan, 10mg Valium for anxiety with no real results. So we tried sedatives (again on seperate occasions) 8mg Rozerem, 3mg Lunesta, and 10mg Ambien. Nothing has put me to sleep or kept me asleep. My doctor (and psychologist) now thinks Seroquel (100mg or 200mg) may be the answer. Anyone out there have any experience with this medication on a one time only basis? I just need it to fly there and two weeks later to fly back.
Avatar f tn I wouldn't recommend it because of the jerking motions. Slow rides are okay.
Avatar f tn Newborn age is the best age to travel by car for sure because they sleep a lot of the time! You do of course have to stop to feed them. I would do what you think would be easiest for you though.
8075190 tn?1401035475 I know some rides are off limits to pregnant women but you might be able to get on the lil kiddy ones.
97615 tn?1212678589 There is also a motion sickness patch that works well. They wear it for 3 days at a time, behind the ear. Your pharmacist should be able to tell you if its safe for little ones. There is also a natural form of gravol called Ginger root gravol or somthing like that. You chew on it before going in the car or on a plane. I have had motion sickness since I was tiny, and I know my mom would give me 1/2 gravol tablet before car rides.
266660 tn?1189755834 Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar f tn I flew early in my 3rd trimester. My doctor said after 32 weeks I couldn't travel by plane any longer. I wore compression stockings, drank tons of water and walked around the airport to help my circulation.
