lunesta

Avatar m tn I am on day 20 clean from pain pills i have been on Lunesta 3mg sleeping pill for 2 years will i have withdrawlls if i stop with such a low 3 mg every 24 hours
Avatar f tn To use very short term, possibly even skipping nights is ok. How many did he give you and for how long? Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
2021910 tn?1339896686 so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?
Avatar m tn only take the lunesta for insomnia - not nightly for sleep..... How often daily does he need the diazepam and the fentanyl now? The opana does the same thing as the fentanyl - - keep those as far apart as you can. Dont mix the lunesta and the diazepam in too close a dose. They will also mirror each others affects. Sounds like Doc Jeff could help a little more if he knew how many of what and at what times he takes them.
Avatar m tn its been 2 days on That dose, tday im gonna try not to take it. My Doc prescribed me some 350mg soma for the pain and lunesta for sleep. Im going to try taking soma if the pain becomes unbearable, any advice pls?
Avatar n tn Ambien for a couple nights, then lunesta (which does not work as well for me) for one night. The 'dependence' is not a big deal; just means you'll have a several very sleepless nights after you quit them. Not looking forward to that but remember that your body desperately needs sleep to repair damages done by the chemo. Numbness, tingling and pain in extremities (always matched, as in both feet, both hands, all fingers, etc.) is peripheral neuropathy.
266660 tn?1189755834 Lunesta seems to work okay for me. I've only taken it three or four times (I only take it as needed and not on a nightly basis.) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar m tn A little bit background info on me, I am 18 years old and at one point was on IV Ativant (2mg) along with Morphine for pain every-night in the hospital (for about 4 months) to help me sleep and control pain while I was being treated for Lymphoma. I am in remission for the cancer now, but still am having a ton of trouble falling asleep AND staying asleep. If I do manage to fall asleep (which takes >2 hours) I seem to wake up at least 3-4 times a night.
Avatar f tn Lunesta. Feeling. Stomach upset, weird taste in mouth and gut issues. Pain from CRPS HAS RETURNED SINCE I DONT TAKE MY PAIN MANAGEMENT MEDS TOGETHER.
Avatar n tn Each medicine would only let me sleep for four hours a night. So I am taking the Lunesta right now. But it is very hard functioning during the day as I am very fatigued. My body previously was use to getting 8 hours of sleep a day. Do you know of any other medicines that would help with longer sleep? How long does it usually take for the sleep to return on its own? I would rather being sleeping on my own. Any suggestions or help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
486038 tn?1300063367 ) I have a bump, and a one-sided horrid head-ached with pain from that area (bump) above my left temple that radiates into my left eye and nausea and well, just am not happy. I hope it get's better (and I had just moved my bed here to be "safe", away from the dresser where I had bruised my arm a vew months ago, so that of course was hilarious). So, what i'm asking is, can ya'll sleep? or are you guys restless too? What do you do to combat that?
Avatar f tn Lyrica isnot a sleep aid. Its for people with nerve pain/fibromyalgia and the such. I take it only for 4 days now, lowering the dose each night for fear of addiction. They say its non addictive but LIARs Liars, pants on fires. I have heard of horrific withdrawal stories from it. Lunesta gave me the metalic taste as does Ambien. Also makes my gums inside my cheeks sore and jaw pain. Had to get off of both. Lyrica makes me sleep all night and half the morning so, Im not taking it anymore.
Avatar m tn Tylenol PM is great if you have some pain and need to rest, and if your not taking it every night and only take it here and there yea i can usderstand using it. But its made for pain during the night... not a sleep aid. But if your not in pain its better to side with less work for the liver, so plain benedryl is my choice.
1274896 tn?1271218419 good for you Peanut, you are doing it right. Its always good to have your doctor help if you can. Ive read some horror stories about Ambien here too, I used it very little for a few months but don't remember if I withdrawed from that really bad. Lunesta may be much better, I hope for you..You may be surprised after you quit all opiates how much less pain you will have in your shoulder. Great luck to you, hang in there and be strong! You can do this..
526311 tn?1229286330 yes..be very careful of ambien..it sounds like you are already taking too much of both the Lunesta and Ambien..(why both) are you taking so much of them to try and get high??I understand how hard it is to get some sleep during and after w/ds..but in this case..the old saying..if 1 is good...2 is better...NOT SO..You are going to end up with a dependancy on sleep meds and possibly harm yourself..please be careful..
Avatar n tn I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.
Avatar f tn re finding another pain Dr. Also, ask your primary if they can recommend another pain Dr. You should have a list of pain Drs who will accept Medicaid so check out that list. Please keep us up to date on what's going on. If you need more help let us know, okay.
1355301 tn?1287967641 I'm starting to think it is becoming a side effect of the lunesta. I am going to try to go a night without it and see what happens. I am afraid of the ambien because I am at home alone at night, (my husband works 3rd shift) and if I tried to cook or drive, there would be no one there to stop me.
Avatar n tn I had an allergic reaction to ambien so I can not personally reccomend it. However I loved my lunesta, it worked very fast. Now, just like with pain pills when you take sleeping pills be prepared to go to sleep. They are aiding you not making you go to sleep. It is not anesthesia so don't expect it to work as such. I no longer can afford the lunesta I go to my local VA for my medications and they don't carry lunesta.
Avatar n tn But after a bed svt episode in december, i have been needing something stronger for my sleep anxiety. My doc also recommended me Lunesta but im too scared to try it, its 3mg. I think that might be a too high of a dose. Does anyone know what can help me sleep without anxiety? Has anyone else tried Lunesta for sleep anxiety. I have tried not sleeping with any med but end up staying up all night panicing even though i am super tired. Please help me get back to sleep so i can focus more on my life.
Avatar m tn t sleep so tried. Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife. I can't say enough I had my fisrt full meal in a year and didn't even realize at first n we both cried she reads some of this forums to me when I cant see from all the shaking but please tell about Xanax n lunesta?
Avatar f tn I tried the Rozerem and Melatonin and they did nothing for me. I have not however tried the Lunesta. I will ask my doctor about that one. I have even been put on Symbytax (sp) in order to try and help me gain weight. I gained 4lbs, but that was it. I looked that one up and it is for severe bipolar disorder. I am not even diagnosed with depression. Why are doctors so quick into anti-depressants for other symptoms? I guess I will just have to live with the insomnia. Thanks for your input...
Avatar n tn I was taking Lunesta 3mg prior to the Lexapro for 1 1/2 years. With the Lexapro, the Lunesta was ineffective. The MD put me on 15mg of Remeron with the Lunesta and this really helped. In an attempt to ward off tolerance to Lunesta, I now alternate ( 2 weeks at a time) between Lunesta 3mg and zolpiedem ( Ambien) Since the zolpiedem has a much shorter 1/2 life than the Lunesta, I take 5mg about 11:30 and another 5mg at 3:00 or whenever I awake.
