Lunesta dosage range

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta dosage range

lunesta

Avatar f tn Your FT4 is not a value I recognize as an FT4 value. Can you supply normal range? TSH does vary considerably normally. So your being off meds for 5 days may not have been the WHOLE explanation for the rise. My endo says that the variation in TSH is a percentage. So, the higher it is, the more drastic the swings. According to your labs, you are HYPO, not hyper. There are drugs (like beta-blockers) that will help control the palps, and they do really work. Hope you get some relief soon.
Avatar m tn From your test results your Free T4 was a bit lower than we normally suggest, which is middle of the range, at minimum. Your Free T3 is even lower in its range, which shows that your body is not converting T4 to T3 very well. Free T3 is the thyroid hormone that correlates best with symptoms. Many members say that symptom relief required Free T4 at the middle of its range, and Free T3 in the upper third of its range, or as necessary to relieve symptoms.
Avatar f tn I was wondering how doctors could miss my symptoms as they were, Fatigued, swollen calves and fingers and face, mood swings, extreme dry skin on legs and middle of back and other areas, major brain fog and insomnia so bad that for three days and nights could not sleep at all and lunesta and ambien done zip 30 mg of lunesta and not even a nod off. And weight loss lg number then weight gain also high protein in blood count I did get my doc to listen and he has me on levothyroxine 0.
Avatar n tn Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.
327369 tn?1326119908 s here, I went in to see her for dizzyness (Which turned out to be caused by Trazodone a gastro prescribed for stomach problems) she ran the blood work, and here are my last results as of 9/23/10 Free T 3 2.9 Range 2.0-4.4 pg/ml Free T 4 1.58 Range 0.82-1.77 ng/dl TSH 0.146 Range 0.450-4.500 uIU/mL The clinician said she was going to raise it from 75 to 100, then the md said to raise it to 137.
Avatar f tn We all need to find our optimal range and not just a normal range. Shoot for a lower TSH and a higher free t3 (will probably have to have t3 added in to get there) with a mid range freet4 and see how you feel? If your doctor will not check the freet3 level, then find one who will.
Avatar m tn My psychologist told me to ask my GP about Lunesta, and a family friend said to ask about Secobarbital. But if I am not mistaken, barbiturates aren't used anymore and Lunesta is in the same class as ambien so wouldn't lunesta cause me to do crazy things I don't remember? Please help me find a sleeping medicine that will give me some relief.
Avatar f tn Changed antidepressants 3 weeks ago from Lexapro to Bupropion Xl 150... Bad insomnia hit this week... up for over 36 hours. They gave me Lunesta 3mg. I have taken 2 nights in a row and sleep well. Then today Pins & needles in arms, legs, feet, and head. should I be looking at thyroid again and not the new meds?
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
2021910 tn?1339896686 so when I was in the Er last night they gave me Lunesta a sleeping pill to help me sleep I'm 31 w 5 d n my mom told me its not safe...is it..I mean babys fine n stuff but the hospital wouldn't give it to me if it wasent ok right ?
Avatar n tn I went online to check my lab results on 4-26-13 B12 542 range (211-946) on 10-14-13 4.98 range (211-946) TSH 9-5-12 1.39 range (.27 -4.2) on 9-25-13 TSH 5.5 range (.27-4.2}. All that was done was the TSH. The only one who did a tsh and free t4 was the renal doctor on 10-25-13. I reduced it from 112 mcg to 100 mcg.
Avatar n tn t apply to everyone) is that FT4 should be about mid range and FT3 should be in the upper 1/3 of its range. Your FT4 is only at 36% of the range and we have no idea about FT3, so we don't know if you are converting the FT4 to FT3 adequately or not. You should ask for the FT3 test, next time you get TSH and FT4; if she refuses, you should probably find another doctor, because one who refuses to look at FT3, and/or doses based on TSH, will keep you very ill.
Avatar f tn I've been having trouble with sleep (all started with my first pregnancy 4 1/2 years ago). I have two young boys now & the sleep loss accumulation is really starting to interfere with everything everyday. I'm determined to get to the bottom of it all & get back to my normal sleep patterns without having to take meds for it.

Avatar n tn Is that T4 result for free T4 or total T4. Also, what is its reference range shown on the lab report? Have you ever had the most important thyroid test, for free T3 (FT3)? Free T3 is four times as active as FT4, plus FT3 correlates best with hypo symptoms, including low metabolism. If you haven't been tested for free T3, that should be done.
Avatar f tn 40) is 57% of range. You have to divide 1.06 by the width of the range (1.4 - 0.6 = 0.8), not by the top of the range. 1.06 / 0.8 = 57%. In two weeks, it will be how long since you adjusted Synthroid?
1327431 tn?1327072104 There is no normal range with thyroid, every person has an optimal range where the have no symptoms, the problem today with thyroid is that many mds still use an old reference range for TSH as an example, some go by .05 to 5.5, some 0.4 to 4.5 and the better one use .03 to 3.
